Bingo! Good job UNH. Ticket punched to Detoilet...now all you gotta do is take care of the Rochester Institute of Toenails. BTW, RIT was where my high school sweetie ended up at.....she happens to be from NH too....somehow this is relevant and ironic, not sure how though. ;) Anyway, good luck.

Yes, Cornell won the ECAC tourney and UNH lost to UVM in the HE quarterfinals, but UNH responded very well when they lost to BC in the HE tourney last year. I have a feeling the time off will help and expect them to play like they did in Manchester last year.

When I was a Junior/Senior in HS i received a lot of material from RIT...It seemed a little odd to me, one of my buddies ended up going there. Hated it, transferred to UNH. He ended up drinking himself out of school, and now he's a poor struggling "writer" who I haven't spoken with in over 4 years. But I digress...

Smash Cinderella's slipper over her head and march on to Detroit.

Nice job UNH!!! Not to say "I told you so," but as I stated last week, after seeing both teams (Cornell at Madison Square Garden, and, of course, against us (BU) twice), it didn't surprise me. More importantly, I was glad to see the Wildcats keep pushing, even after giving up the first goal, which could have taken the life out of them given that they totally outplayed Cornell. Now just keep pushing and DON'T LET UP and it's on to the Frozen Four!!

Back when my hormones were raging :), I acually spent a couple of weekends there visiting her. Thought it was a pretty strange campus and school at the time....she loved hawkey and we went to an RIT game once....they must have been in division 10 at the time....simply awful.

I remember 03' when we lost to minnesota and they had that pure goal scorer in Vanek, now we got our pure goal scorer! And Thompson and Sislo is a great supporting cast.

The Cats completely dominated in the first despite being down by a goal. All of us in sections 103 + 104 behind the UNH bench had a clear view of Hobey Butler's shot go through the net, which was a game changer (duh). Good to see Umile roll all four lines and all three defense pairs, as they will need every bit of energy to keep up with RIT tomorrow night (the Tigers are fast and beat the Pioneers to just about every puck). Should be a great game tomorrow night. Go Cats!

Good for you guys UNH....This time of year the more eastern teams the merrier @ the FF. this team is good enough, you know? Just sayin that's all.

I thought it was an excellent call by Umile........Cornell is big. Having Hardowa out there on that line gave them a nice physical presence.

Anyone want a ride to Albany?

I've be wearing a certain jersey. UNH has a decent history in regional finals in Albany. ;)

Heck of a game by the 'Cats tonight. Pretty much the exact opposite of what we saw in January. Good luck tomorrow against RIT.

Congratulations to the Wildcats on their solid win today over Cornell.

I'll be pulling for UNH tomorrow against RIT and then on through the rest of the tournament.

P.S. - Wanted to say hello to the nice UNH friends I made during a USCHO fan forum "Score Updates"
session for the 2/20 UVM - UHN game, in particular: erin, snively, gounhwildcats, and UNH09.
Thanks to all of you for your kindness to a Vermonter. :)

congrats Wildcats!! you guys were clearly the better team from the moment the puck dropped,a dominant performance!! keep it up today and hope to see you in the FF !!:D
