Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

July 30 will be the 40th anniversary of Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance. He's been legally dead for 33 years.

Have you ever stopped for a bite? If so, how's the food?

It's an Italian steakhouse these days, owned by a guy who owns a lot of other restaurants in the Detroit area (some better than others). I've never been though - it's a bit outside my typical distance range for lunch, and a little rich for my blood.

Ben there 5 times when I lived in Detroit area. Machus Red Fox is the restaurant. Claim to fame, the waitresses showed us where Jimmy Hoffa was abducted ERR taken. Cool

It's now part of Joe Vicari's "Andiamo" empire - it's called "Andiamo Italia West" today. They re-did the exterior a bit a few years ago (paint and such), but the portico entrance is still there.

I actually brought up Jimmy Hoffa with a client today, and I actually had to tell her about who Jimmy was. granted she is from Guam, but has been here in the Ann Arbor area for a couple of years. Would have thought someone would have mentioned Hoffa to her before. Maybe the FBI needs to go dig up another house or something.

LOL. My wife is from Guam. It is part of the United States, you know? ;)

I'll bet a lot of people in the '80s didn't know who Al Smith was. Time passes.

Didn't he play for the Indians and the White Sox in the 1950s? :)

Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

I know who Hoffa was, but then again I'm a Teamster...

Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

I know who Hoffa is, but the last time he came up in conversation? When Geraldo Rivera shat the bed.

Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

Most adults will know who Jimmy Hoffa is, but the man's been dead for 40 years now. He's not going to be found. Quit digging **** up all over SE Michigan and move on.
