Round 1 is complete! To those that did not go through to the next round, we have lovely parting gifts, including a ceramic dalmatian.
Did someone do that?

And nobody likes a try hard.Someone always does that.
It's lame, IMO. They are just trying TOO hard to "win" the PoTY.
And nobody likes a try hard.
No because then you're not a poser and just a silly try hard.Which means if you actually do want to win PotY this is exactly what you should do.

Round 3 voting is up.
Thinking back on it, I can't tell you the last time I saw an actual breadbox. It had to have been when I was a kid, when my one friend's family used one. Nobody my age seems to use them in their homes these days.
They're still around, they're just really country goose like Hummel figurines or those stupid wall stars. Half the homes out in my neck of the woods have bread boxes, preserve jars, the works.
Canning/jarring your own preserves, however, are making a comeback around these parts. Families are looking for ways to cut costs since wages have been stagnant for so long, and some lady friends of mine talk about getting together in a group to make big batches of them and then each taking X jars home. Jellies and jams have gotten expensive, I'm told, if you're looking for something with actual fruit in them and not loaded with extra sugar.

(nice sidetracking of a thread.)
