I for one would love to win. Other people would hate it.

By definition, the award is what the voters say it is. Nobody has a privileged viewpoint. If and when Drumpf wins the presidency he will, by definition, be "presidential." And may FSM have mercy on our souls.

Sadly, this is true. It USED to be a badge of shame. It becomes more and more a popularity contest year after year.

Considering Flag has made the final 3 out of 4 years, there's still plenty of shame involved.

I think what's really happened is it's no longer a private party for a few schools' fans' in-jokes...

My standard is, "you have made an interesting contribution." It might be good or bad. Y'all know who you are.
Somebody could post a hundred times a day but say nothing -- no vote. Somebody could post once a month and deliver a Platonic ideal of wisdom (or idiocy) -- oh hell yeah, they get a vote.

Only real "campaigner" I remember, in the short time I've been on this forum (at least compared to others), is Dude Love.

Easy enough to test. If you vote for yourself you're campaigning. Like I said, I do. It's the Greatest Dubious Honor there is.
I have no idea what mookie's doing the other 11 months of the year, so I can't judge whether his annual Spring Fling is a campaign or just the call of the wild.
