It's 1-1 early in the third period on first period goals by Brown's Erin Conners and SCSU's Holly Roberts.

EDIT: Caitlin Hogan scores short-handed for the Huskies at 6:23 of the third period to make it 2-1 SCSU.

Brown takes a penalty of their own and SCSU converts... Felicia Nelson scores the PP tally to make it a 3-1 Husky lead.

Brown takes advantage of another Husky penalty in this whistle-filled 3rd period. Kelly Griffen scores the PP tally for the Bears to narrow the lead to 3-2 with 5:15 remaining.

SCSU took another penalty with 1:07 remaining, but despite pulling the goalie for the 6-on-4 attack, Brown can't capitalize before the horn.

Minnesota scores on an extremely high stick by Francis shorthanded. 2-0 Gophers.

Several Clarkson players being dragged down this afternoon and nothing called. It looks like we're getting jobbed this afternoon so far.

End of 1 in the Twin Cities, Minnesota 2, Clarkson 0. Frustrating period to say the least. Clarkson leading the game in shots, scoring chances, puck control, faceoffs, but down on the scoreboard.

Clarkson will start the 2nd on a 5x3 power play. It seems some of those players that were getting dragged down are now getting the calls.

Great find by the USCHO staff. The second goal was ruled to go off a high Clarkson stick, not Francis'. The goal was credited to West ... my apologies to the WCHA refs if this is indeed the case. :o
