Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

In the first period, Maine leads host UND 3-2.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

5 minutes remaining @BC, UMD still has the only 2 goals.

Umd 3, Bc 0

Umd 3, Bc 0

The Bulldogs add a third goal with < 2 minutes to go.

EDIT: now final, UMD 3, BC 0

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

SCSU up 4-2 on Brown mid way through 3rd.
Brown with goals at 13:49 and 14:55 of the 3rd to tie it up at 4-4. Under 3 min to play in regulation.

EDIT: SCSU's Danielle Hirsch capitalized on an untimely Brown penalty, scoring the power play at 17:55 of the third period. That was the game-winner -- SCSU 5, Brown 4.

Maine's Taryn Peacock scores at 1:59 of the 3rd to give the Black Bears the lead again at 4-3 over UND.

EDIT: UND's Susanne Fellner responds with a 5-on-3 goal at 8:43 to tie it back up at 4-4.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

UND's Sara Dagenais scores at 15:22 of the third as a Maine penalty expires to make it a 5-4 Sioux lead over the Black Bears. It's UND's first lead today.

EDIT: Maine goes on the power-play with 2:03 left in regulation...
EDIT #2: Make it a 5-on-3, or a 6-on-3 with an extra attacker with 41 seconds to play. UND took a second penalty...
EDIT #3: ... and Maine converts. Jennie Gallo ties the game yet again at 5-5 with 27 seconds left.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Given the wild finish of regulation, there were very few shots on goal either way in the overtime. UND and Maine finish tied 5-5. Ten different players scored the 10 goals in the game.

EDIT: According to the box score, there was an exhibition shootout. UND "won" it 1-0 in 5 rounds.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Badgers have been dominating since PC took an early lead however Frykas took a bad checking call and the Friars converted a few seconds later to tie the game at 2-2 late in the 3rd.

:(

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Badgers and Friars skate to a 2-2 tie...

Lacasse has 34 saves for PC compared to 13 for Ruegsegger and UW.

Teams have opted for the shootout but the official result will be a 2-2 tie.
