Correct MICZam, Purple Eagles startled the Lakers. The Purps should have won with a goal waved off near the end - waiting for word from "a player of interest (to me)" as to what's up with that (if not a goal, where was the penalty that should have been called at that whistle?)....

There was a cross-check called against Mercyhurst at the time of this whistle (Lacroix perhaps??). The ref was in precisely the right location to see the play (unlike me!) and so I would assume he saw correctly that a Mercy stick had played the puck prior to any shot.

By the way, LOVE the exuberance and efforts of the Niagara student handling announcements and public address. Very cool!

Emily Erickson opened the scoring for Bemidji, and Megan Bozek tied it at 1 after the 1st. Emily West gave Minnesota the lead with a PP rebound of a Schleper rocket for the only goal of the 2nd.

Paton just scored her third of the game, after Lavoie scored to tie it and UNH takes a 4-3 lead mid 3rd. Can't see much action because the camera work is atrocious, but Nate and Rob are calling a solid game on wildcats.tv
