Josephine Pucci ties it up on an EA goal. Crimson 1 - Tigers 1 minutes left in the 3rd....

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

BC is up 3-0 on UConn entering the 3rd. BC with one of its better efforts of the season thus far, and Boyles is amazing at life/goaltending.

Thunstrom (breakaway), Walsh (scrum), Welch (ROCKET of a roof shot) with the goals.

Maine comes back and shuts out NU 1-0. Too bad we couldn't have saved some of those goals from yesterday. ;)

Huskies hit a couple of posts but no dice. Frustrating but not the end of the world yet.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

In Friday afternoon WCHA action... After one period, there's no score between Wisconsin and St. Cloud State.

But it was a wild period as the Badgers started out with a 12-3 shot advantage, then took 3 penalties in a span of 1:39 to let the Huskies into the game. The Huskies, however, couldn't capitalize on a full two minute 5-on-3 advantage and the game remains scoreless. The final 9 seconds of the third Wisconsin penalty is carrying over into the second period.

Becca Ruegsegger with 13 saves so far for the Badgers; Ashley Nixon with 13 saves for the Huskies.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

After two periods of play, Wisconsin 1, St. Cloud St. 1.

Wisconsin came out firing after killing off the third penalty, scoring at 1:12 of the second period on a goal by Brooke Ammerman, her 10th of the season. And Wisconsin kept the pressure up for awhile after that, opening up a good shot advantage. But SCSU came back again, this time not needing a power play to do it, and tied the game on a goal by Caitlin Hogan at 14:26, her 9th.

Shots after two periods are 27-25 in favor of the Badgers.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Breann Frykas scores for Wisconsin 2:14 into the third period, her 2nd of the season. Wisconsin 2, SCSU 1, 14:11 left in regulation.

EDIT: Badgers adding pressure again with 8 of the first 10 third period shots on goal.

And that's the final: Wisconsin 2, St. Cloud St. 1. The Huskies couldn't convert on a 6-on-4 extra attacker power play during the last 58 seconds, not even getting a shot on net.

Shots were 14-5 for the third period and 41-30 for the game in in Wisconsin's favor.

Wisconsin moves to 8-4-1, 6-3-0 in the WCHA; SCSU falls to 4-9-0 overall and 3-8-0 in conference play.
