>>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

Re: >>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

I don't put much stock in a team's name, I'll give them some credit for their program but when it comes down to it all that matters is whether or not they are good this year. Elmira has done ok, the start of the season didn't inspire much confidence for me. Plattsburgh has done considerably better. But I'm not sure what happened with the tie vs Amherst, we whipped them so I'm not sure why Plattsburgh, should they be able to beat us, would tie Amherst. Amherst hasn't really made much noise this year.

This...has VooDoo written all over it. Gawd you would think you ppl would have learned by now...just sayin.

Depending on how it shakes out...River Falls could be the #1 seed and RIT still get the bye and host. River Falls would have to host a quarterfinal. I think best case scenario for the west is RIT to lose a game or two, RF finish undefeated and lose in the O'Brien finals. I'd expect a 1 loss RF team to make it in over a 4 or 5 loss Platty/Elmira team

RIT still wins #1 seed. River Falls gets bye and UWS/GAC fight it out for the other west team in the frozen four. UWS wins and Torgerson faces RIT in the FF...haha

Haha you don't want that...

It would be a blast though.

Hmm, I could see that messing with some of our players' heads.

Come on 5 4...just because one guy thinks national champs are crowded in January, don't let him get you going on your voodoo talk. Go back to talking to the Plattsburgh fans.

Who thinks that? I'm just trying to spice things up a bit. :p

spoken like a true fan that's never played sports. Humble pie - try some.

I've played many sports. I don't see how I am being arrogant? Based on how the season has gone so far the most probable result would be RIT and RF playing in the championship.

Re: >>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

RIT will be wearing special black jerseys on the 21st and 22nd against Plattsburgh, to raise awareness of heart disease. The jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money. You know the drill!

Oddly, the black jerseys are nearly identical to the ones the men wore at BCA in October, and bear little resemblance to the women's usual unis.

There's nothing wrong with thinking this way, they have been on a tear all season long and there's no reason to think they won't be in the finals. Of course, things happen (think Pat's \ Giant's) in single elimination so the final will be a mystery until it happens.

I'm thinking they'll be there too but know that nothing is guaranteed.

I do think it's a good time to start filling up the Ritter for their games.

Agreed

Re: >>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

I think it will take 3 points this weekend to keep us in 1st, not that that really matters cuz its the playoffs the count. 2 points would still be pretty good considering our history with Plattsburgh. I really think we can come out of with 4 points though. Either way it should be a great matchup, can't wait!

Re: >>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

It'd be nice if WITR could broadcast Saturday's game. I know Friday's conflicts with the men's but putting Saturday's game on the air would be good for those out of the area.

I don't think they'd have anyone to cover it.

"In addition, both games will be aired live on Time Warner Cable Sports channel 26 or 1026 in stunning high definition for HD subscribers. Gene Battaglia and Chris Lerch will bring you all the action live from Ritter Arena both days."

Taken from an RIT press release. It may not be on the radio but having both games on regional TV is pretty sweet.
