Playoff Results 2021

Nice goal by 26. Super impressed by 17 Gabbie Hughes the whole game, not just by her skill but by the way she plays a nasty, physically unforgiving style. Thought the goalies both played great.
 
My narrative is in shambles, damn you Colgate.

Better matchup for Northeastern I think. UMD has the better top player in Hughes vs. Serdachny, but they still don't match Northeastern on talent and match them way less than Colgate on depth.

On the ncaa.com web page that had the links to live streams, the link to the first game is now a link to a "full replay". So I would guess sometime soon, the Colgate-UMD link will become "full replay" as well.
 
There was a lot more physical contact in OT, pretty sure it was a sign fatigue was becoming a factor, glad the whistles were put away.

That said, Colgate top line regular season icetime:
Serdachny: 25:30
Kaltounkova: 17:04
Neubauerova: 18:34

UMD:
Klein: 24:18
Hughes: 23:57
Rogge: 22:38

Looked like Colgate was double shifting the top line later in regulation and in overtime so I think fatigue was definitely a factor. Difference is that UMD was conditioned to play their better players longer and Colgate was not but tried anyway. Point to Crowell.
 
Nice, instinctive play by Bell to step up to intercept a weak entry pass at her own blue line and transition the puck. The tendency is to hang back in OT, but she went for it; good for her. Then she fought off the check and sniped upstairs. Very nice.

Thanks to you and the others for sending me a link so I could see the winning goal. I was hoping it was a good (not cheap) goal, and it most certainly wasn't. Great play and shot by Bell.

"Ohio State is undoubtedly the much better team, but I can’t shake the feeling that BC is going to go into this game and put up an admirable battle. My brain says the Buckeyes probably win this one, but my heart says the Eagles at least take it to overtime. I’ll say it’s Ohio State 2-1 in OT... but BC might have some grit left in them yet."

Definitely looking forward to the bc vs Yuckeyes game and seeing if bc can actually play some defense.
