Playoff Results 2021

This really was a game of inches for OSU. They just missed either the net or getting the puck settled on their sticks a few times. Puck luck seemed against them.

We could have had more chances but the Badgers did an excellent job of tying up our sticks in front of the crease. We were just a step or so behind the entire game of getting to the rebounds!
 
I’m sure they did but you know how it goes, the losing team’s near misses always loom larger the next day.

The other 'trick' people let their mind play on them is 'if we only had gotten that one, we would have won'. In yesterday's case, if OSU had only not whiffed on that one-timer, they would have had a 50-50 chance to win. It would have tied the game, but it would *only* have tied the game.

I wonder who is the statistical favorite when a team comes back from 3-0 down to tie. My mind says that the original trailing team would have the edge, but SLU won in OT after Clarkson came back from a 3-0 hole in the ECAC semis. You're probably right that it still winds up around 50-50.
