Dump Term 2, 1.01: Sleep Now in the Fire

I didn't watch...but what was so bad about the Dems? I honestly don't even know who was responding except maybe Slotkin? (Who is trash)

Until the Dems get new leadership they won't win in '26. (Assuming there is an election) Jeffries is a corpratist (and Tech Bros loving) dbag and Schumer sucks at everything. The Party is run by insiders and big money donors and 90% of them could give phuck all about any of us.

Except for Al Green, they sat there with their auctioneer paddles and protest outfits and homemade signs and looked like a bunch of college students protesting their administration for some random cause de jeur rather than a party staring at a group of people willingly tearing the country apart. What a bunch of pansy-ass wimps. They should've gone full British House of Commons and instead did whatever it is that was.

Did my part by not watching. The only thing he cares about last night is how it did in the ratings. The best way to protest is by not watching and get him low ratings.
Yeah, I don't understand anyone wanting to watch that.

My racing club had it's monthly meeting last night, so I went to that and had an excellent clam chowder and a beer. When I got home, since it was the last day of a Paramount+ subscription deal we had, I watched a movie I had on My List. Turned out, the movie sucked (Singularity), but it was still better than any crap coming out of D.C.

Al Green has done more for this country last night than the average Democrat has done since November

I pretty much shut it off after the first paragraph of outright lies. The reporting of what the Dems did just proves that they have no clue what to do. The only thing I will say about that in their defense is there is probably people in the party that would disagree with whatever they did. They have really put themselves in a corner and I do not see that they will ever get out of it.

AOC probably had it right by not even showing up and answering questions on BlueSky.
I'm not a big fan of AOC nor her policies, which are too progressive for me.

But I have always liked her gumption and how often she gives the proverbial middle finger to the old, white, male GOP establishment (see Texas power failure as an example). So, for that reason, I tend to root for her. She definitely knows how to play the political game better than most Democrats. She is a heck of a lot smarter than many people realize (or want to realize).
