D-III Scores and Highlights: The stretch run and the road to the 'chip

Re: D-III Scores and Highlights: The stretch run and the road to the 'chip

For real. Offense was on point for the first two periods, and then the D took over. Great game by GAC.

Seems like it's hard to go all season with out losing then lose a game in the third. Just hard to recover at playoff time with all that pressure.Congrats to River Falls on an Amazing season an undefeated regular season is a major accomplishment. Goood job by the Gusties they looked strong and ready to play keep it movin. And then there were 6.

I don't want this to come out wrong, because this loss was in NO way shape or form Ashley Kuechle's fault. Having followed her career in Saskatchewan before going to college I know she has the ability to be an elite college goaltender, and she was obviously on her own out there for the first 2 periods...but why in the biggest game of the year to date would you start a freshman goaltender who had maybe 5 or 6 starts all season and leave your two most experienced goalies that happen to have better numbers sitting on the bench? I'm not a RF fan so perhaps there are injuries or something that I don't know about, but on first glance I just don't get that move.

I was surprised when I heard her name announced as the starter as well but Coach Cranston has said he has had confidence in all three goaltenders throughout the year and he liked the element of surprise with team's not being able to game plan for a specific goalie.

The way GAC came storming out of the gate though, I don't know if it mattered who was between the pipes. Impressive performance by the Gusties.

Yikes. The tigers are roaring on all cylinders. Pack your bags for Rochester folks!

Hard to tell from the radio announcer's lack of excitement -- he plods through the announcement but at least you can hear the crowd and excitement in the background better. Not your average student-overamped announcer -- very medicated, soothing

4-0 after 1 period in Roch.

Re: D-III Scores and Highlights: The stretch run and the road to the 'chip

Seems like secound day Adrian came to this game. Horrible on face offs ,turning the puck over. Making it easy for RIT, hopefully the break will do them good.

Re: D-III Scores and Highlights: The stretch run and the road to the 'chip

6-0 in the second.

edit: 7-0, Hat trick for Stack

edit2: 8-0, on the PP still just halfway through second

clearly coach slomanto is overmatched and confused as she keeps trying the same things that have put 8 in the back of our net.

It will make for an interesting weekend with the AHA championships downtown, especially if the men win.

Adrain gets one .... 8-1 still in 2nd.

RIT must have (been) called off the 'dogs -- they didn't score on their latest powerplay and let the Bulldogs on the board 8-1 4mins left in 2nd.

GoJ: is school out yet? ("RIT has no...")?
