BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

certainly not, but there's an age limit for pumping your own tires over a team, which is what BU fans seem to revel in.

so there's an limit on how old you can be before you're forced to stop cheering for your team? is there also an minimum IQ requirement?

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

Thank you.

oh and to the guy who said BU scored on a lot of "fluky goals" if you want to call Alex Chiasson sniping a shot under the post high glove side, a well executed 2 on 1 where Warsofksy's shot goes high right under the post, and Colby Cohen blasting a slapshot "fluky", then okay.
Eh...I'd give him benefit of doubt on bad word choice on that one, tbh. He isn't such a homer to not know the diff between soft and fluky. JMHO

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

This could concievably be the most stupid post I have ever seen. Is there an age limit to being a fan?? Having a fanbase of all age groups is the goal of every team. It is how support is perpetuated.
No doubt, upon turning 40, UMLGoon will give up hockey and start hanging out at the local rest home, cheering on the combatants of a heated Bingo game. ;) :D

BU-Lowell threads have moved to the top of the hit parade. (BU-NU a close second.) Keep up the good work!

Tough tough loss for Lowell. And their fans sadly. Great crowd, very pro-Lowell. I think UNH, Maine, etc... teams that used to think they could have home games at the Tsongas are going to be surprised. At least I hope this continues, so they can be surprised. I won't talk about the language. Disappointing to say the least.

Anyway, I haven't seen this team give up so many odd-man rushes in a long time. That was shocking. I know they were short one d-man, but still.

Tough game for Hutton last night as well. I was shocked at the soft goal he gave up. But this team was resilient and fought back late, which I loved. Which also gives me hope for tonight. Lowell really needs to win this tonight, just to prove to themselves they CAN beat BU.

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

Your national championship banners qualify it. The Hobey banner should as well. Because it's misleading to say otherwise, especially for the DI winners from those years.

Now you're just going out of your way to complain about stuff.

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

What happened there?
goers sprained his ankle in the first couple minutes of the game, didn't return. lowell played a d-man short for about 57 minutes, with edwards and dehner getting time alongside capraro on the bottom pairing

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

seeing as most of the dialogue lately on this thread has been about the game itself, i wonder:

did anyone else think the mites squaring off shoot-out style were waaay more entertaining than the traditional mini-game at agganis?

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

SKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRREEE!!!!

Wow, what an annoying way to announce a goal. And he had to do it 9 times.

Yeah he's terrible whoever he is...Pretty sure its the same guy who did PxP for CN8 before the station folded...That guy and Bob Norton. The worst tandem in the history of hockey announcing.

Injury is not a sprained ankle.:(

Thanks, I noticed Goers was missing but I didn't know what the reason was. Looks like we'll see Corcoran tonight.

Re: BU at Lowell, Lowell at BU 10/30-31

That goal Given up by vietri Against unh was bad... The goal last night by Hutton was far worse. Great game all around and once again a bad job by the refs for both sides. Lots of emotion by both teams last night...that will continue tonight. Tough loss but Lowell looked strong.

okay, what's the injury then?

c'mon!!!

i taught my oldest this lesson when he was 4!

there is pain.
and there is injury.

pain you play through.

injury requires splits, ER's, casts, iv, etc.

since then (he's now 11), when he looks like he's hurt - i ask him, "is it pain, or injury?" he usually gets back up then and continues to play.:p
