Shh! Apparently we're not allowed to say anything negative. They'll win the NC by coasting through and having no meaningful opposition at all. Just like every other year.

Anyway, the bracket isn't as bad as I thought - I'd rather have Yale than UNH or Michigan.

UAF doesn't scare me (maybe they should, does anyone know anything about them?) but since I have been following this team - since 1998 - they are undefeated in first round NCAA games.

i was hoping to see Michigan in the bracket actually as firstly a Michigan-North Dakota game would have been epic! the 2 teams playing the best at this moment and secondly, it knocks one of them out . I think they are the 2 biggest obstacles for us taking nothing away from Miami and Denver et al (Alaska):)

Disappointed that they weren't able to put Maine away when they went up 2 late in the game...however I'm not concerned for a few reasons:
1. Maine was desperate, they were fighting for their season and their seniors certainly didn't want to go home yet.
2. We are a young team. Its not always going to be perfect and with a young team. So when you win a game that you give up two late goals to let it go to OT, where everything was going against this BC team heading into OT, and the young team pulls it out it can't do anything to help the team in the future.
3. We have the best coach in the nation. He will figure out what went wrong and fix it.

Congrats BC, you have been "simply the best" for the last 13 years. No one can feel bad when the best team wins. Unfortunately for BU fans last year just looks like a fluke and the planets are realigned again. The Parker vs York matchup has been too much of a mismatch in the recruiting wars and March hockey. Like the UND matchup for you, I think UND has a mental block with BC and speaking of mental blocks would love to see you guys take out those choking dogs from Miami along the way. Feel bad for the Maine players last night but thrilled to see those yahoo fans go home unhappy.

are you the Alaska jcarter? I'm not familiar with the Alaska fans, I've never seen any Alaska-related threads except for the ones about the intro video.

UND's "mental block" as you call it left with last year's senior class. No player on UND's current roster has ever lost to BC, or PLAYED BC. i have a hard time believing a player on UND has a mental block with a team they've never played. Bring it on! Hopefully UND and BC both win their semifinal games to get to the championship. Should be a good game!!! :D

So North Dakota has no seniors and juniors? Because a senior or junior for ND would have lost to BC in 2008 and 2007.

I'm so pumped we got put in Worcester....Great memories of the DCU center freshmen year when we beat Miami...That game was incredible...Hope to get the same results this time...Ive been reading these boards for a while...Thought it was time to start commenting...GO Eagles!

Melrose said during the selection show that North Dakota probably needed to win the WCHA tournament to make the NCAA's...clearly he's been following college hockey this season.

Maybe no player sfo but a coach who has not beaten York in several tries in tournament. Be afraid be very afraid of the eastern eagle.
