Respect

Great Picture...When did they get back to campus?

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Melrose said during the selection show that North Dakota probably needed to win the WCHA tournament to make the NCAA's...clearly he's been following college hockey this season.

I caught that too, how embarrassing. And what about Cornell "not having to skate" because Lynah is small? It's still 200x85, dumbass.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

There aren't any juniors or seniors on UND's team that played BC in 2008?

Here is the list of UND players that have played against BC in the NCAA Tournament that will be playing (hopefully) in this year's Tournament:

Matt Frattin (2nd line winger in that '08 game)
Jake Marto (3rd pair D)
Chris VandeVelde (3rd line center)
Darcy Zajac (4th line center)

We are primarily a team led by Freshmen and Sophomores. Genoway will not be playing in the regionals (barring something heroic), and our other Juniors (Trupp, Davidson, and Lapoint) didn't play in that game.

On the other hand, there are only 7 Eagles by my count that played in that 2008 Frozen Four game.

I also feel the goalie thing was totally set up to make him look good. Cause no one in their right mind would say Ben Scrivens hasn't been the most dominant goalie this year. I like Melrose, but he has almost no knowledge of college hockey, he is an NHL analyst that dosen't qualify him to be a college hockey analyst.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

So, was it a good game? :) Missed the whole thing. :( Anyway, good luck in the NCAA's ....I know you guys will represent the league well.
It was a thrill-uh. Your boys played very well, came at us hard and looked very well coached!

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Classic case of BC's continued success giving fans unrealistic expectations. BC stole back the two banners that hang in the garden from BU, I don't care how they did it, they will be BC banners for another year.

Now go get the one that means the most.....
Unrealistic? Guess what?... we play like we did on Saturday starting next weekend and we'll be bounced out of the NCAA's quicker than you can say, "at least we finished ahead of BU".

Like I said earlier, we got the best coach in the country. He will have the boys ready.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

I would same the same for North Dakota. We are just as big, but now just as fast as BC.

I don't think thats true. BC has been recruiting these fast players with the expectation that to snag some of this high end speed, they would sacrifice some size. If they could snag players as fast as atkinson and gibbons but much bigger like the north dakota players, I think BC would start to recruit some of those guys. If you we could get top end speed without sacrificing any size, why wouldn't we get any of those players? North Dakota is fast, but I still think we have the edge in that department.

as for greeting the team bus, it was pretty awesome. the team got back close to midnight, and we had a pretty vocal group there. the players genuinely seemed as happy as we did. it was a great moment.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

I don't think there is any doubt that BC is going to come out strong in Worcester...the defensive breakdowns against Maine were out of the ordinary. BC had a good stretch of really solid defensive performances and I expect to see them return to form this weekend.

Hopefully no more behind the net no look passes from whitney to the opposing team ;)

Hopefully Frattin brings a designated driver to Worcester. :)
