Boston College Hockey, Part II

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

The game versus Maine was just what BC needed heading into the NCAAs. I'd rather have a game where so many things went wrong than a game where everything went swimmingly. The last three Maine goals comprised a nice little video for BC of 'Things-Not-To-Do-In-A-Hockey-Game-If-You-Want-To-Win.'

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

I agree. It gives the coaching staff things to show them on video, etc.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Oh I didn't realize the Yale-UND game was played.....when was that? After the selection show?

Duh!

Come on you guys cant be this dumb. If you read ALL of the words you would see I didnt say BC plays Alaska & Yale, instead I said Alaska and then wouldnt it be fun(as in fun because it isnt set yet but fun if it was to happen)....Yale.

And of course BC has not made it past Alaska yet either but you didnt seem to have trouble with that point or maybe you thought BC had a bye.

No, I never made any remote reference to BC facing UND or Yale in the second round. All I said was "When did Yale beat UND." Yeah, its fun to make **** up to make yourself look less retarded though.

How is the Frozen Four "trophy" treating you by the way probably better than your ECAC and Hockey East Tournament trophies right?

Just checking Heisenberg's list and realized Quinn Smith committed and I must have missed it....now I was wondering if that is Ben Smith's brother?

Bubba Smith's grandson (since Ulfie's genes worked out pretty well...;) ) :D

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

It looks like BC got that easy road to the final four that you all claimed Vermont got last year. First Alaska and then wouldnt this be fun...Yale.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

They weren't right that entire weekend. They almost lost to Mercyhurst the night before. Didn't they lose Patrick Eaves to suspension that year due to the Exter collision? Losing him for those games was a big loss for BC.
The collision was in 2003, Patrick's freshmen year.
In 2005, he missed the Hockey East semi-final and final at the Garden due to injury. He returned for the Mercyhurst and UND games but wasn't near 100%.

No the points were there to anyone with a brain, but alas the text generation has lost the ability to catch meaning in any sentence over 4 letters.

And your "trophy" jam only goes to show you how lame your other point was, you knew it was bad so you felt the needed to make it better with a BC classic "Lets look to our teams past to help prove ourselves". Does that work in real life? "I maybe blew that business deal boss but BC has won more titles that your favorite team."

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Nice to see the hippies are drinking their bong water this morning. Hey Catlover, who won on Friday, I missed the game?

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

An email is going out withing the hour on this but:

The BC ticket office has reconsidered! Student tickets are now going to be $35 for the 2-game package and there will be a free bus.

News courtesy of BCWH Superfan joe. Several of us have been in contact with the ticket office over the last several days.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

FYI - From USHR:
5'9", 150 lb. C/RW Ryan Fitzgerald, a freshman at Malden Catholic, has committed to Boston College for the fall of '13.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

So... who won the conference this year?

Honestly though, best of luck in the nationals. It'll always suck to watch BC win anything, but it's good for the rivalry every time it happens.

Maybe keep the NC trophy in "Boston?"

Oh yeah, and you guys suck!

FYI - From USHR:
5'9", 150 lb. C/RW Ryan Fitzgerald, a freshman at Malden Catholic, has committed to Boston College for the fall of '13.

A 10/19/94 birthdate from North Reading, Fitzgerald posted a 17-30-47 line in 24 games for Malden Catholic this season. He's a smart player - an excellent playmaker who moves the puck really well, makes players around him better, skates well, and competes.

The son of former Providence College star, NHL first round draft pick ('86), and 18-year NHLer Tommy Fitzgerald, the younger Fitzgerald was also offered by UNH. The Wildcats were probably the school in most direct competion with BC. (UNH assistant Scott Borek had helped recruit the father to PC 25 years ago.) UMass also was in the picture. BU reportedly made a late push, but the younger Fitzgerald never actually took a visit there. BC has been on him for quite a while, since last summer and fall.

Fitzgerald, who was excellent at last week's Beantown Spring Classic, will be heading out this weekend to the NTDP Evaluation Camp (March 27-30) at Ann Arbor.

Speaking of the NTDP camp, fellow BC recruit Brendan Silk, a sophomore at Austin Prep, suffered a deep bone bruise in the Super 8, and is unlikely to be able to skate at the camp.
