Boston College Hockey, Part II

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

UND's "mental block" as you call it left with last year's senior class. No player on UND's current roster has ever lost to BC, or PLAYED BC. i have a hard time believing a player on UND has a mental block with a team they've never played. Bring it on! Hopefully UND and BC both win their semifinal games to get to the championship. Should be a good game!!! :D

And Miami has turned over a couple of times since 2005 but they seem to choke when it comes to Boston area teams. Just a coincidence I think not.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Melrose said during the selection show that North Dakota probably needed to win the WCHA tournament to make the NCAA's...clearly he's been following college hockey this season.

hahaha, i noticed that  initially i thought he was joking:confused:

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

I'm happy with the draw. Stay close in Worcester. Alaska doesn't concern me all that much. Another go round with the Sioux with plenty of positive recent history for BC. Sign me up.

BTW, it is me or with all Melrose and that other clown's talk about how hot North Dakota has been down the stretch, no one seemed to notice BC is unbeaten in their last nine? I'd say the Eagles are just as hot as any team and they and their fans should fear no team.

I hope North Dakota doesn't overlook Yale.

UND is the better team by a good amount, but if they go in think that way Yale may just surprise them.

Same with Alaska and us. But I trust in Jerry.

Really, I'm fine if North Dakota overlooks Yale. I'll take a 2nd round matchup with an EZAC team any day of the week over having to play the Sioux.

Hey BC fans-
I posted this in the thread on the Worcester Regional, but looks like we have more viewers here:
If I'm a BC fan in Boston who can't get out to Worcester and don't want to watch the game on my computer, what are my prospects? Local cable going to pick this up? Or a local pub going to carry it?

Hakstol was the coach...and take a look at where that game was played.

And how have things gone for you against BC since? Look, I'm sure this doesn't affect North Dakota's players at all and the coaches very little as well. But as a North Dakota FAN, you cannot tell me that you wanted this matchup. In fact quite the opposite. BC is the LAST team North Dakota fans wanted to be in the same regional with.

Quite the opposite. I know how good DU and Wisconsin are, and we played a very good game against Miami at home and it only resulted in a tie. BC is a good team, and at this point you have to win 4 games against top notch competition. It's just of the four #1 seeds, I would rather be in BC's regional. I'm not terribly happy about going out East to play them, but the last time we played BC in a regional (which BTW was at DCU), we dominated.

Now, if this was a Frozen Four matchup, then I'd be worried :p:D:D

And the last time you played BC you got embarrassed. I vividly remember the problem for the Sioux being that they simply could not hang with BC's team speed. I hope for the Sioux's sake that isn't still an issue because top to bottom this might be BC's fastest team yet.

I would same the same for North Dakota. We are just as big, but now just as fast as BC.

Ahhh yes, BC probably shouldn't show up because the almighty WCHA is just going to roll everyone this tournament.....

Frozen Four, WCHA tournament do over.

I can't wait til BC wipes the floor with UND again.

I guess we'll all have to wait and see if our teams win Saturday, and if so, then see what happens on the ice on Sunday.

There aren't any juniors or seniors on UND's team that played BC in 2008?

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Guys: BC has to get past Alaska first.

The cupcacke regional is Fort Wayne. Miami should roll over Huntsville then Bemidji or Michigan.
