What did Andrew Albert's pre-college evaluation look like? You go away. The scout was also an ex BC all american with zero agenda.
This is a report I just saw on him, about exactly as I see. Without name etc, would not be at bc or drafted. many, many better to piock from in junior leagues. Most of whom would not have been talking about leaving BC for Pros summer before freshmen year
Talent Analysis
A very green, but reliable defensive-defensemen who is still developing. Samuelsson lacks the skill of most drafted defenders, however.
He gets himself into a good position, which makes him a big presence down low. Very conscious in his own end. Does a good job of getting stick in passing lanes and forcing turnovers, especially with a poke check. Should take the play to the opposition instead of waiting. Average skater who needs work to on improving his overall footwork, strength, and stride. Also needs to become more efficient moving the puck out of his own zone. Has a tendency to try and force the puck up ice. Generally stays glued on the back end in the offensive zone. Developing a hard shot from the backend. Needs to get quicker with his hands in all areas. Sees time on special teams.
Future
Samuelsson is a long shot for the NHL at this point. He is noticed for his size and name, but has a lot of development ahead of him.
He isn't very bright is he.
No, actualy 100% to the contrary....
When you have to tell people yourself that you're bright... well actually...
Please go away. Samuelsson has been one of the top D on the team all year and has tremendous upside. Any "scout" who says he turns the puck over every time he touches the puck is probably a scout for the Maple Leafs or Islanders.
Woah Woah woah....
6'2", 165 lb. Austin Prep sophomore RC Brendan Silk has committed to Boston College for the fall of 2012.
A 1/13/94 birthdate from Wakefield, Mass., Silk was a standout at last summer's Select 15 Festival and, for our money, is the top '94 forward in Massachusetts right now (and there are a few good ones, too). Silk can skate, plus he has size, hands, patience, and sees the ice well. He projects as a power forward with finesse. He's still growing into his body and is expected to top out at around 6'4" and approximately 200 lbs.
Heh. I noticed thatQ: How do you make a North Dakota fan sick to their stomach?
A: Show them this week's Bracketology
What did Andrew Albert's pre-college evaluation look like?
Mike Mottau's? Brian Boyles's?
How do you KNOW so much?
Why did you chastise an entire fan base's thread, insinuating they berated a player (the coaches son), then come to our thread and berate players?
Why do you also berate players on other team's threads?
Do you think you are a hypocrite?
That's a lot of questions, but I believe you'll have no trouble answering all of them with 100% certainty.
One last question... ain't it time for you to go haunt some other thread?
While we're asking hokydad questions, I have one:
Are you a fan of one particular college team?
None of those 3 had 1 or 2 goals in 3 years.. Have not met a single scout who said he would have been drafted if not for his name, zero
ME, BC, PC, BU, PC, ND, BG, HC, Harvard
My favorite part of this Hokydad anti-Samuelsson screed is that the scouting report he posted, presumably gathered from his crack insider source that's publicly available on the internet
None of those 3 had 1 or 2 goals in 3 years..
So lets get this straight. Lyles = good - Samualson = bad.
At what point should we have begun to question your credibility?![]()
Lyles is a good 6-8th d for BC, an insurance policy.
The two have nothing to dow ith each other.
I have seen each play enough for many years to make my own opinion. Nothing has changed
