Swammi--All I do when people act like A-holes online is ignore them. There's something about online threads that make people feel like they can ignore the rules of respect and integrity. Be like a duck and let it roll right off you bro.

Pioneers should send Bemidji home!
In November 7 different players scored for DU, 5 players had multiple assists. We want to see balanced team scoring, strong defense and goal tending.
How about getting the first goal and keeping the lead for the whole game? :)
That would make me happy and keep my blood pressure in the safety zone.

Much to my dismay I will be sitting in the Spine Clinic at the hospital when the game starts (at least I'm not the one getting prodded).:(:(

Re: All Things Denver XXX

DU's Senior Class could notch their 100th win today.
They are currently 8th on the list at 99-46-15.

Hey Guys,

I figured I would share a bit of good news with all of you.

Last Saturday I got engaged to my girlfriend. We have set the timeframe for Early fall of 2012. :)

Has anyone had experience with the streaming "Director's Cut" presentation on foxsportsnorth.com? Am trying to decide whether to watch today's tilt online or at the local Houston watering hole. Is there sound? Do you get to pick a camera or are you forced to try to watch 8 camera angles at once? Do you have to register with FS North? Is it any good? (admittedly the beer is colder at the local pub, but since DG went to MSP to watch it live it's just me and the dog watching)

Kind of an interesting read. But both Malone and Hakstol sound kind of ho-hum about the whole thing. Hakstol supporting his player...Malone supporting himself while saying the requisite nice things about Jesse. Not a very emotional gripping point of view from either of them. I'm certainly not saying that the two don't have any emotions about it, but it just doesn't come across strongly in the interview.

Re: All Things Denver XXX

That doesn't say much for Chambers as a writer then.

I'll support Chambers---maybe it was a situation where the interviewees felt a little guarded talking about it publicly.

It's just a little weird to me, still, that Jesse was the one to reach out to Malone, and it doesn't seem like Malone has made much of an effort in response. I'm not condemning him for it, but I think the situation is a little odd from Malone's perspective. I would have felt awful if I had been involved in a hit like that, even taking any notion of "fault" out of the equation. It's surprising to me that Malone didn't fly out to see Jesse at some point in his recovery. (Maybe he did and we just don't know about it???)

After reading the blog, it's pretty evident that Malone felt awful about what happened, immediately as it happened. I'm not sure if the two have met up (whether that is Malone's choice, Martin's choice or whether their schedules have not coincided), but Malone is pretty clear that he's not just moving on from this. He even said he wants to be there when Jesse gets back on the ice.

OK, I will leave it at that. Very interesting to hear talk this week about Jesse possibly playing for the Pioneers again someday. I'm sure that's a LONG road, but cool that there is at least talk of it.

Gotta take care of Bemidji today. I would love to see the Pioneers take them to the woodshed with a 5-1 drubbing. But every time I wish for something like that, it ends up being an extremely close game. I have no idea what to expect.

Re: All Things Denver XXX

For what it's worth, I didn't get any sense that Malone was downplaying the incident. It's difficult to pereive tone in a written interview, of course, but I have no doubts that he was speaking honestly. And that it affected him deeply. Short of breaking down, I'm not sure there's much else he could have said. Those two boys barely dodged a bullet, for which they and we should thank God.
