Re: 2012 Presidential Election Part 4
Minimum in regards to company policy for salaried workers. CCI has a union but I'm reasonably certain it's only for the more blue collar workers not the administration.my first job i figured i needed X to live. i ask for X + a bit to negotiate. i got X + a - b offered finally and it was fair to me. couple months in i talked to a couple guys who were recently hired and they got more than me because they asked for more and got it. my fault. i had to wait to get a raise after a year. those guys probably went and asked for more than that. happens.
now if your mom was making X and there were 6 other workers, all men, with different starts and beginning salaries and such making X ++.. if it was designed to pay them more than her that blows and is wrong. if it was because they all came in and asked for more and got it and she didn't ask until she found out (like i did) that's a life lesson.
i'm not sure how to read "the minimum" part there... was this like a union shop where the minimum wage was $15/hr for men and she was making $13 or something? that falls under the blows/wrong/bull$hit. but i don't want to assume what 'minimum' means though.
