We know Tammany Hall would wait for the upstate ballots to come in to see what margin was needed to make FDR governor. There was the ballot box shenanigans with LBJ in Texas. We know the Democratic party did everything it could to supress black vote prior to the Civil Rights Acts.

Its always good to push laws on the public that haven't been relevant for 50 years. Like big government just that much I guess.
