2010 DII Football

Re: 2010 DII Football

I didn't realize you guys had been dealing with a lot of injuries.
Yep, all started early in camp with our All-American D-lineman getting hurt, and it just seem to snowball from there. Think there's even been a few reports of our second string O-Line guys getting some reps in on the D-Line at practice just to keep us covered there.

Re: 2010 DII Football

A couple of interesting notes about the St. Cloud State win...the football team now has twice as many wins in three NCAA appearances as the hockey team has in eight. Also, next week will be SCSU's first ever road NCAA game. As for that game, I'm a bit torn. Unlike men's hockey (and like women's hockey), I lean UMD for football, however, I would like to see SCSU win their first national title in any sport. I think UMD will win, but the score will be much closer. I'll say 35-31.

Re: 2010 DII Football

Fun fact of the day. With the Patriot's Danny Woodhead hosting the Colts Joique Bell, today was the first time that two Harlon Hill award winners have played in the same NFL game.

Re: 2010 DII Football

What happened to your guys?
GV came out flat, had a couple of turnovers, gave hope to a pretty good team that been hearing for the past two weeks that GVSU should have been the team to have the bye and hosting the game, and most importantly, they capitalized on those turnovers, managed to make us a bit one-dimentional, and kept us off the board till late. GVSU has been a little sloppy all year, and it really came in to bite us in the *** today. It was just one bad thing happing after another today.

I see. Turnovers will kill anyone especially if they lead to points. They killed you guys in 2008 against UMD and almost killed UMD today against a team they beat by five touchdowns month ago.

Turnovers killed SCSU that day, it was closer than the score.
