Re: 2010 DII Football
Tomorrows games.
Wayne State (Mich.) (20) @
Findlay
- Even with a win here, Wayne State is most likely on the outside looking in come 3 pm Sunday. They would need a lot of help to make the playoffs, but they would capture the South GLIAC Champs title, so thats a nice banner to put up for them, and gives them something to focus on for next year.
Bloomsburg (11) @
Mercyhurst (17)
- The PSAC Title game, Best of the East versus the best of the West. Game will affect on who will get a home game in the Northeast region, and who will have a road game.
Ferris State @
Northwood
- Last chance for Ferris to beat a team with a winning record this year.
Merrimack @
Pace
- Last game in a year that most of Pace would like to forget, or to have never have happen.
American International @
Assumption
- Eh, I've got nothing.
Stonehill @
Bentley
- Ditto.
Northern Michigan @
Michigan Tech (24)
- The Miner Cup. Both squads are a little banged up, with NMU missing their QB and MTU's RB being questionable for this game. Tech needs a win here to keep their playoff hopes alive. Ruining those hopes would be the perfect end of the season for the Wildcats. And Mother Nature looks like she's going to be bringing a mixed bag of rain and snow, so layer up, bring a raincoat or garbage bag, and remember to fortify one self properly.
Saint Anselm @
Southern Connecticut
- Saint Anselm ruinned the NE-10's chances of putting a team into the playoffs, but I doubt they'll be able to sneak up on the Owls this weekend.
Minnesota-Crookston @
Bemidji State
- Likely a win here for the Beavers. Might not be the last game of the year for the Beavers, as they are in the running for the Mineral Water Bowl. That mostly depends on St. Cloud making the playoffs though.
Nebraska-Kearney (8) @
Colorado Mines (25)
- Winner is most likely in the playoffs in the Northwest.
Minnesota-Duluth (1) @
Minnesota State
- Simple enough here for the Bulldogs. Win, and they're the number one seed in the Northwest region, and if things go that far, would be the likely host of the Southwest regional winner in Duluth. Given that all of the teams in the SW are from either Missouri or Texas, I would like my odds in Duluth in December.
Nebraska-Omaha @
Truman State
- Berhns here most likely really needs a win here to cool off his seat here. Lots of grumblings out of Omaha about him.
St. Cloud (18) @
MSU Moorhead
- A win here and they're most likely in the playoffs. Would most likely have to travel, but eh, its better than what a lot of other teams would be doing next week. A win here and making the playoffs would really look good for the upcoming vote on raising student fees for athletics next week at St. Cloud.
Simon Fraser @
Humboldt State
- Well, one last chance for the Clan to get a win South of the Border. It would give a little more promise to a pretty rough start for the Clan in the NCAA's, and help that young team of guys stick together and build something there on the West Coast of Canuckistan.
