On another note, not only did San Marino win their second ever competitive match against Lichtenstein, not only did San Marino win their first ever competitive match on the road, they also won their UEFA Nations League group and will be in League C next year.

Conference Finals for MLS set. The Western Conference winner will host MLS Cup because the remaining overall seeds are LA Galaxy (4), Seattle (7), Orlando (9), Red Bulls (16).

Apple, already in shambles with no Messi, no El Trafico, and no Columbus repeat, is probably begging for a NY-LA final to salvage a terrible playoffs from their perspective.
 
The final Merseyside Darby(they don't know how to say derby)between Liverpool and Everton has been postponed due to a cyclone hanging over the Isles. I watched Aberdeen/Celtic on Wednesday and it was pouring rain and the wind was howling. Same for Fulham/Brighton on Thursday.

I’ve heard American announcers pronounce it as Darby too, even for MLS rivalries! It’s not a new word just because the Brits pronounce it differently!

Bids for the 2030 and 2034 World Cup were made official today:

- 2030 will be Spain, Portugal, and Morocco as main hosts with Agentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay hosting individual matches as well. Going big for 100 years I guess.

- 2034 goes to Saudi Arabia, who is insisting on a Summer tournament. For selfish reasons, I wouldn't mind the Nov/Dec schedule again. But that is highly contingent on having Turkey Day weekend for Group Play matches, lol.
 
Didn’t those come out awhile ago? I remember South America being a little miffed they got thrown some courtesy matches for the 100th but not the full deal.

They formal bids were completed in July. Since these were the only bids for their respective years, it was a foregone conclusion. Yesterday was the day they got the rubber stamp of approval though.
