No Dak goalie made some big saves in the third and stoned Decker with about 10 seconds left. Game was kind of a microcosm of the season. Great goalie play, pretty good team defense but struggle to create a lot of quality scoring chances. Can't score 1 goal and expect to beat good teams.
I don't know what needs to happen for the Badgers to get in the NCAAs, but they are going to need some help.

Oh and the video feed was terrible. Bad enough that is was freezing up early and often, but to not have the ability to put score and time on the screen or show replays is bush-league. Had the look and feel of a community access high school game. WCHA should be able to do better.

To make the NCAAs they'll need to play better next year. There is no scenario that puts them in this year.

The lost points alone against Bemidji during the home opening weekend may have cost them a NCAA spot. Frustrating season on many fronts.

I couldn't find that link to save my life. I had my wife look, she couldn't find it either. Wouldn't you want tot make it obvious where to click to watch it? That wcha is SO bush on SO many levels.
I'm disappointed the gals lost, but they weren't at full force the whole year with Ammerman and McKeough's injuries, so I take sollace in that fact. Had they had these 2 for even a quarter of the season, they are at least in the ncaa's. You just can't be missing your top D (the league's top D) and a top 2 line forward who were the team's 2nd and 3rd best returning scorers and lose 196 points from 3 players to graduation and expect to not miss a beat. I think Mark Johnson got as much out of the team as he could and I'm proud of him and the team, as I know the rest of the UW women's hockey fandom as as well.

It was a tough first home series. I will be looking forward to next year though. Some of the younger players improved greatly over the year and now they have this time to get better. I think it will be a great season next year. Maybe not championship quality but they will contend for the WCHA title.

It was right on the homepage, in the lower right corner "above the fold" (aka, if you don't scroll down). Below the big "Headlines" section, to the right of the standings, and above "campus news. It looks a little bit like an advertisement which you might overlook, but other than that, I think you might be kicking yourself if you go and take another look!

Current Pairwise would put them in the tourney. How does UND loss to MN drop them so much.

UND fell so far because it lost the SLU comparison.
But I don't believe the USCHO PWR is an accurate reflection of how the women's committee would evaluate that comparison, both because UND has such a huge RPI advantage and because the women's committee evaluates common opponents more intelligently than just looking at the W-L record. The women's committee has not simply regurgitated the PWR like the men do. So unless the committee has changed its practice, I believe UND is still #8.
