Word. I agree that BSU is the tougher opponent, but I'd rather take my chances with getting beat by Serty's crew than just getting beaten up.

This was my first year getting season tickets, I will be doing it for years to come. It's a great value. I was at every game this year and will be at both playoff games (hopefully will be just 2) Reading about the seats though from previous posts, I think that having some regular seats in there would be so much better. At least in some of the sections.

I was *****ing about the bench seating, but honestly once you sit down and watch the game, the bench seat issue kinda melts away, my feelings based on attending 4 games anyway. The Friday 2pm games have to go away. If they did, I'd get 3 season tickets, maybe 4. Right now Friday 2pm games are simply out of the question with work and 3 kids in school, and getting season tickets where about 1/3 of the games being out of the question makes no sense for me.

There might be an issue with parking because of mens games but they could maybe sell season parking to women's ticket holders that would be less money, yea the mens ticket holders could cheat the system by also buying women's seats but this would give the program more money to work with.

Question 3: Mark, what was your low point this year, do you think?
Johnson: I would probably say, before we started game one, I got news that Stef wasn't going to be available at that time, for sure the first semester, and then you're sort of tracking it. It was just disappointing because I wasn't anticipating that over the summer as you start looking at the roster and start looking at the seven freshmen you're bringing in and the kind of season she had last year.
You know, when we got the news she wasn't going to be available you know, I felt bad for her because she was in a position to maybe get central ice in the spring with the Canadian National Program and, I think, really had the opportunity to make the Olympic team next year for Team Canada. You start looking at the big picture, and if those things don't happen, that's probably my lowest point just because I felt bad for Stef.
I knew the impact she'd have on this year's team too with the young group, great leadership, has had a chance to wear the Canadian jersey and win a National Championship. Those things you miss on an everyday basis in the locker room.
Question 4: Where are Stef and Brittany with regards to their futures? Obviously, they're not going to play this year. Do you have anything definitive about next year?
Johnson: No. Those will probably be answered in the next I mean, as you well know, with the symptoms they have and the injuries they have, it's a timeline that doesn't have an end to it, in regards to, if I break my wrist, it's six to eight weeks or four to six weeks. With these types of injuries, you just don't know.
I can share they're both making progress and seem to be doing a lot better than they were earlier in the season, but as far as what's going to happen down the road and in the future, hopefully, they'll still be able to progress like they are right now and hopefully be able to train and do some things in the next two or three months that will indicate, yeah, they might be able to come back.
I like the direct question and while the answer itself is disappointing, it sheds more light on their situation. Would love to see them back next year, but looks like nothing is certain.

So these are open ended injuries, but still not clinically defined? At least we know that nothing has been determined for next year yet. One would think he'll want to know sooner than later for recruiting purposes.

I interpret it as they are still recovering from severe concussion related symptoms with no hard timetable for return. I assume that they both are taking a medical redshirt, but nothing has been said publically.
The recruiting issue is interesting. At this point, next year's freshman class equals the number of graduating seniors (plus a goalie that's listed on another thread, but hasn't been made official locally).

McK is a sr, so she's technically gone. And on Sr. night, she was honored. What's the point of sticking around college if you have enough credits to graduate when another year of hockey really does nothing for your real career? The redshirt for Ammerman affects the year after's recruiting class if she stays an extra year. But then the same point I made for McK about getting on with her life would apply to Ammerman as well. If I had a concussion that took 5 months to get over, I'd move to Florida to stay the heck away from any ice period.

Some might do it just for the love of the game and to keep their competitive juices flowing, possibly combined with taking more classes to obtain their Masters. Of course this assumes the player in question is cleared to resume playing.

Todd Milewski is doing a story on how the number of scanned tickets has gone down at all events. In talking to him about it, he told me that there will never be an event at LaBahn while one is happening at the Kohl. He said this was not the original plan, but that it changed along the way.
Timothy A - season tickets are all of $30 each. If you go to 6 games a year, they're paid for. You were talking about 1/3 not being attendable, but three weekend series make them pay for themselves.
I don't think I even went to six games, but guaranteed seats to the first LaBahn game, supporting the team, not having to stand in line (especially in the cold) and hopefully getting preferred status if they land the Frozen Four was reason enough for me put down the whopping $30.

This year I got to 4 games. I'm definitely interested in getting them, I'd like to see the schedule for next year before I pull the trigger, to pencil in 6 games. Are are kid's season tickets too, or are they $30.00 for all ages. I'm not complaining about spending $30.00 for the kids, just curious. I'd probably do 2 adult and 2 kids if they were separate. I'll never bring more than 2 adults to a game, and more than likely it will be myself and 3 kids for all but 2 games maybe. Are the wcha playoff tickets included in season tickets or not?

I have no idea if kids are different prices.
The playoff tickets were not included, nor did they give season ticket holders any sort of advance purchase or anything. I got a letter telling me what the situation would be in terms of when games were and when tickets would go on sale and as I was reading I assumed it would give me a like a pre-sale time, but not so much.

Kids seasons tickets are $15. They are very bad about doing anything with playoff games for season ticket holders except sending a letter with a suggestion to buy them early.

Thanks for the info. I am hopeful when the schedule comes out it looks good for me to get some season tickets next year.

With most of the other sports season ticket holders get an option for an advance purchase. I wonder why they do not do that with women's hockey. There were plenty of tickets but it would be nice to be recognized for being a season ticket holder. I missed the game last night and that was the first game I missed all season so the tickets were definitely a good deal for me. Also they should include WCHA first round tickets in the season tickets, just like the men's tickets.
