Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

Re: Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

The line for deice not exactly enthralling?
Probably better than today...I know this won't come as a shock, but IAH, CLT, and ATL suuuuuuck at deicing. :p

All of my hubs will be getting snow. Hopefully, I took enough down in advance. Definitely need the A game tomorrow.

I feel bad for the people working one of our code shares, as mainline thinks they can handle a full schedule...good chance some f-bombs get dropped on that side of the room.:p

My aunt (RIP) used to live in Gainesville. A neighbor asked how to get ice off the windshield. Aunt said, "just pour boiling water on your windshield." The neighbor went back inside to boil some water, came out a bit later, and my aunt finally stopped that idiocy. Aunt wanted to see how far it would go. :D

We let a smug acquaintance of ours do this in Mankato back in college. This south Texan constantly griped about how dumb Minnesota was. When winter hit he thought it was absolutely ridiculous that we scraped off our windshields. He told us that melting it with hot water would be quicker.

Us, being good sports, told him it was useless because that water would also freeze making the view even more difficult, much less even harder to scrape off.

Obviously we were baiting him. We all shared a look towards each other that said "Holy crap, we might see something awesome, no one screw this up."

He took the bait. Boiled up a monstrous pot of water. We cleared the dorm hallways for him so he could get out to his vehicle as fast as possible.

Spider web cracks covered 100% of his windshield. Needed rides for weeks, which we refused. Didn't have glass coverage. Flawless victory.

Minnesota nice is a myth.

The hot air from Capitol Hill keeps the snow total down.

tDon says it was it the biggest DC blizzard in history, so this pic must be a fake.

Re: Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

we got 6 inches of fluff on unfrozen ground, pain in the *** plowing, ripped up driveway and lawn.

Re: Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

3-4" on the grass. 0" on the roads, but from police reports they must be icy or the bad weather zombies came out because there were alot of accidents.

Re: Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

We got a dusting over the past 36 hours. They got more snow in farking Atlanta.

Climate change is a hoax though, nothing to see here.

Re: Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

We got a little more than a dusting around here, but the roads are still warm, which means they're all nice and greasy around here now. It took me 90 minutes to drive into the office today. I expected a longer drive.

Re: Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

It's 35 here now.
Oh. You folks are talking temps.
I was talking sustained winds (gust to 50).

Q: Why is ND windy?
A: Because Montana blows and Minnesota s ucks.

Re: Winter Weather 2017-18 where EVERYONE argues.

Mookie walked to the store to get some ice cream and sinner at kfc
