Man, I just discovered these guys. Poop.

yeah, I’m super bummed about this news. Not only was STLJ the best live act I’ve seen to date but they wrote some jaw dropping and stunning material.

and Steve was such a nice guy. He and the guitar player were very intense on stage and then total sweethearts off stage.

my old band opened for STLJ at Fireside Bowl in Chicago in 1995. We then returned the favor and they opened for us (crushed us) later that year at Shank Hall. I had J. Mascis type long hair back then. Fast forward to 1997 or 98. I had cut off all my hair and went to see them in Milwaukee at the rave bar (of all places). Walked in during their 2nd song and I’m not kidding Steve sees me and mouths “Hey Dan” mid-song like no time had passed whatsoever and I thought there’s no way they’d remember me.

anyway, I saw them blow The Faint and Har Mar Superstar off the stage later at The Globe and several other shows. Consistently great shows, consistently nice guys.

RIP Mr. Sostak.

In a similar fashion this is pretty cool.

99.9% white. :-)

I don't understand how they did that without the delay screwing it up. You could cover up lag with guitar and even with voice, but if the drums are out even a tiny bit it becomes mud.

The sound engineers who arranged that are the real stars.

Jeezuz Kep - can't you just watch something without analyzing it to death? 8^) It's a lot of people having a blast and fun to watch.

TIL, at the age of 59.986, that Quiet Riot did not write Cum on Feel the Noize.
