UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Is it possibly a requirement because it is a public school? If not it can't be a good sign.

Pretty sure if the job is not filled from with-in they need to advertise. I think they have to post internally first.

maybe they've gotten away with it in the past and with an increased profile means increased scrutiny? Who knows.

I seem to recall that after Whitehead was let go the head coaching job was posted publicly, even though Blaise had already been here for an interview and has essentially been hired. I believe it is a requirement, since it is technically a state job.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Interesting note about the Northeastern schedule, they are scheduled to play a game against Niagara in Hartford on November 6. According to the folks on the NU thread they will receive a $20,000 guarantee to play that game. Not a bad pay day for the Huskies.

I'd really like to know what's up with that... Hartford is about as non-obvious of a location as it gets.

I think the original plan was for a game at MSG, but the planners screwed up and they had to play at Hartford instead.

Was supposed to be a doubleheader at MSG with Army/UMass-Amherst. That game will be played in Amherst now.

I don't think I've ever seen them take this long to release the schedule.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Not sure if anyone caught this today, but it looks like the OHL is going to make a big push for River Hawk Robert Visca:

Was/Is he expected to make any impact after redshirting all last year?

The burning question is does either of the two schools that start with 'Boston' have any student-atheletes that can spell their own name? :D

Keep in mind that the University is ripping apart Tsongas right now.

On another note: Did everyone renew their season tickets? I did.
