UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

And it has fried dough, which automatically elevates it, even if it was difficult to get to, which it is not.

don't ever forget that hot little in-stadium hostess. (les tells me her name, but i forget :o ) that lady can wear boots and short skirts with the best of them. ;)

Sorry to say that with the change of concessions groups, fried dough may be hard to come by this year. We'll have to wait and see what new items are coming in.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

UML out drew the Devils in terms of fans per game by 2100.

Also, I think you should review some of the media deeper in the thread in terms of renovation.

Further, the arena is NOT hard to find. Lowell Connector to Exit 5B? continue with the flow of traffic until you get to the arena.

UML averaged around 4600 last season. I think the Devils were under 2000.

The Tsongas Arena is as average as they come? Have you been there? The Tsongas is a great place to watch hockey and I think 99% of opposing fans who have been there would agree with me.

If you cant find the Tsongas, you may have issues.

What they said. In terms of being state of the art, Tsongas (with the new renovations) is behind only Agganis in Hockey East. Although I've never gone to Tsongas any way other than Route 3 north to the Connector, I can't imagine it being hard to get to from any direction. It's all main roads and pretty much a straight shot no matter which highway you're coming from.

Wait ... what?

You guys are surprised that the poster who welcomed himself to the board by complaining that the teams who host NCAA Regionals automatically qualify for the tournament even if they have mediocre years, is being illogical?;)

A Q & A with Carter Hutton by the Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal.
http://www.chroniclejournal.com/stories_local_sports.php?id=270583
It's stuff like this that will keep Hutton on my list of favorite players to wear the UML sweater.
Q: What was your favorite arena to play in and why?
A: I really enjoyed playing at Alfond Arena in Maine. The atmosphere there is something you can‘t explain. It‘s so intense and makes every game feel like a game 7. The student section can give you a hard time with chants and cheers directed at you, but that‘s something that makes it so fun to compete in that rink.

Q: What‘s the first thing you‘d like to buy with your signing bonus?
A: Nothing to crazy. I think I‘ll buy a car, but I‘ll be smart about it. Without a doubt I owe my parents something for always making sure I was never without growing up and making all this possible.

nice interview article by Hutton, seems like a quality human, good luck to him in his future career

always nice to see HE players make the big show - particularly the ones that stick around for four years and make the show

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

The Assistant Coach job has been posted on the UML site. The application deadline is June 18.
That's new. As far as I remember, I don't think they've posted that particular position before.

Is it possibly a requirement because it is a public school? If not it can't be a good sign.
