Holy Hannah! That was incredible. They win even after a narcoleptic beginning of the 2nd. The student section was amazing. The players were stoked.

David Vallorani. Is he going to finally realize his potential? Awesome game all around. Doug Carr is the man and we may have a team this season!

BTW: Northeastern steams all their home games online. Will be watching tomorrow.

My confidence in this team is soaring. Imagine being a player. Wow... just wow. That first period was just amazing, the Riverhawks were flying, cycling and passing ever so accurately. And Val's goal was simply amazing...highlight material. Val is just awesome. One of my favorite riverhawk players all time, behind Ed McGrane.

Also - didn't see the hit by Wallin...was it that bad? Also, is he out for tomorrow's game? If so - Thats a big loss for UML.

Back home. I think I am in an alternate universe. The beginning of the yr the exhibition game was a horror show. Bag over the head material. Now we not only have a real hockey team but they play exciting end to end, fast paced hockey (instead of dump, chase and lose) and actually win. Even more weird- the student section is just plain raucous  I texted Mr at teh beginning of the first to see if it was as loud to them as it was to us. Never heard anything like it. They were just amazing and the band was awesome too- great sound, beautiful timing. The guy is back :D YAY!!

Lowell has earned some big wins so far this season, and it's great to hear that the students are ardently supporting their team. Congrats so far, and good luck as you move forward -- I hope this is a memorable year!

Walking on air. Awesome time to be a River Hawk fan.
Another big win with another great crowd in the building. Just like last Friday night the Hawks were able to survive an ugly period (2nd) to get the win. It also looks like the Hawks may be down another defenseman. Dan Furlong left the game mid way through the 3rd period after taking a hit from Bill Arnold. Arnold received a roughing call on the play. Hopefully Furlong is ok.

Personally, I did not think it was remotely a 5min. I saw a glancing hit in passing. However, I was not a zebra.

He went underneath with Mr. Les right after the hit. When Mr. Les came back out about 10 minutes later he went right to Norm, and unless my lip-reading is really bad, I could see him say "separated shoulder".
