Good weekend for Maine . Both teams left it on the ice. Going to be some dead legs tomorrow.

Great game. Maine is on BC level and probably should have won that one. Difference was BC PK and Maines PP. Normally don't complain about refs but these guys were awful including the too many men in the overtime.

Well, college refs are usually awful, but I don't blame the refs for this one. They didn't give this one away.

Who among us is dissatisfied with 3 PWR points against BC?

I sure ain't.

The shootout leaves a sour taste but what a weekend. Maine did more than hang with one of the best teams in the country and a team loaded with draft picks.

Victor had his best weekend of the year which is a great sign. Hopefully this gives him his mojo back.

10 out of a possible 12 points in hockey east so far and number 2 in the pairwise. It’s early but this team is way ahead of schedule.

Great weekend for Maine! Lots of missed opportunities for scoring by both teams last night. I thought BC played Maine's style of game last night , which is lots of fore checking and back checking. And with active sticks it takes away from the skilled players BC has. Maine's power play stinks!!

Alfond always a tough proposition for BC. That was a damn good weekend of hockey though. I don't know who is gonna beat you up there. You sit at #2 in the PWR. That's nothing to scoff at by now. It's deep enough into the season to at least take a look at it. I think it would end up being highly disappointing if you went on some kind of slide and missed NCAAs this year.

Always a possibility. Injuries to key players like Ostman could do it. Season still very young, but right now I don't see them not making it to a regional.

A few missed opportunities for both teams, have a feeling Shoelle is going to be seeing that winner in his sleep for awhile but a HELL of a weekend of hockey.

I’ll take 6-1-1 to start the gauntlet to the season. Bring on BU!!

This was actually a good call I think after seeing one replay of it. The man off the bench came right onto the ice and defended the BC player with the puck while the other skater was not on the bench. Most of the time you consider it a possession thing and don’t want your guy to play the puck but this is also a situation where you will get called for it.

That being said BC had a glorious chance nullified on a terrible offside call that was incorrect after seeing the replay. This is the flip side to having reviewable offsides now… they can let play continue if they are in doubt and let review take care of it rather than risk blowing a play dead and being wrong.

Maine's passing left something to be desired on Saturday leading to missed opportunities and turnovers. Good weekend though and great crowd on both nights.

Feels like some missed chances for Maine to put that game away last night even if overall it was much more even play from both sides.

Maine is going to catch a lot of teams off-guard with their pressure on Friday nights, and hopefully they can maintain that on Saturday nights as well.

Definitely loved the BC players taunting the students after the game while barely escaping this weekend with any points.
