As someone who grew up in a non-hockey area, I loved it, probably because I could not pick out all of the holes in it. (Also I was like 9 years old.) I was very disappointed as an adult to find out Iceland was not in fact a hockey superpower. I also loved the original NHL team's name and logo, not the lame one now, which I think puts me among the minority here.

I loved that logo.

Did it show the house they had in Holland? At that size, they likely lived on or near Lake Michigan, in which case their net worth is somewhere in the ballpark of $Texas.

Yes. It was a horrific McMansion.

I'll see if I can find it. It was that bad. They were very proud of it.

Edit: This is close. Imagine how low your SATs have to be to live in this.

Meh. I can Google Image that and not watch whatever dreck Di$ney decided to greenlight so Emilio could pretend people still know who he is.

And none of the Ducks movies make any sense if you just break them down. My roomie and I once stayed up until like 4am watching the original and pointing out everything wrong with it. Made me love it more ;^)

Emilio chose to go independent and focus on philanthropy about 20 some years ago. Not saying he's an acting chief but he is nothing like his brother. In fact because he made that choice he said no to this film at least once I don't fault him nor begrudge him in the least.

Again this movie may end up being terrible but whatever.

Nick removed two episodes of Spongebob they felt were problematic from streaming platforms. Just two.

Yet we're about to hear "cancel culture" all over again.

Ha! NBC has deleted old WWE material on Peacock including half-black Roddy Piper in WrestleMania VI.

So Roddy Piper doing an awful Scottish Accent and faking culture is allowed by non-Black Face painting of half his person is bad?

This is getting MTG level stupid...

To be fair, it is bad:

I saw it when it happened...I remember it well. It is still ridiculous. If he was still alive he would be cancelled...

Are they going to delete all their blatantly racist characters from over the years? How about the misogynistic ones? If so who is left?

We can't just erase everything that makes people uncomfortable...otherwise we all look like that stupid school district in California that is taking the names of people off schools. (even Lincoln) Just own your mistake and move on.

Anyone else enjoying Falcon and the Winter Solider? I had my doubts going in, but it's been good so far through two episodes. It's a little more like the MCU, but it's been obviously beating viewers over the head with some world issues (that the comics similarly tackled) that needed to be talked about. Like the shi**y treatment of soldiers once they retire. The shi**y treatment of soldiers in a "useful until they're not" way. How therapy isn't the "Gee thanks doc!" that gets portrayed. How coping with loss effects everyone differently. Systemic racism. Individual Racism.

Whoever the writers have been for WandaVision and F&tWS have been amazing. There has been so much depth to these shows that would have just been swept under a couple big fight scenes and scenery porn in a two and a half hour movie.
