I got to hang with a few members of UB40 and The Smithereens once after a show they played at an outdoor tent for a freaking wine tasting event of all things at Hyland Hills in Bloomington. Not as cool as getting to sit in a fatty circle with some of the Dead nor playing beer pong at a house party with some of REM and The Replacements, but still pretty interesting.

The lead singer was born 9 years after the band was formed. This is them in name only. The originals are bankrupt and/or dead.

How in the good **** did I miss The Farm with Jeremy clarkson? It's spectacular.

Are you on season 1 or 2? I haven't started season 2 yet. Season 1 was great and very funny at times.

In addition it being quite humorous, farmers in Britain apparently have given him a lot of praise for bringing to the forefront the many challenges that farmers there face.

The Smithereens? Pretty sure Pat DiNizio was still on lead in 1990 or whatever year it was I saw them. If you're talking UB40 I wasn't really there for them anyway but again in 1990 it was iirc also their original lineup.

UB40.

Honestly, the only reason I'd heard of the Smithereens was Bull Durham.

Looking forward to The Consultant with Christoph Waltz.

There are actors who get a lifetime pass because of one movie. Nicholson for Five Easy Pieces. McDowell for Clockwork Orange. Kim Darby for True Grit.

Waltz gets that for Inglorious Basterds.

Final episode of Full Swing was a gross knob gobbling of the PGA brass by Netflix. I assume the price of the series was the league got editorial control.

It was an okay season, but DTS just started and there is no f-cking comparison.
