The more I think about the Poker Face pilot the more I think they missed an opportunity. What if the entire first season had been the first episode's plot arc? You just killed her best friend, and you're using her for your caper, but you can't ever lie to her. That's a fantastic dramatic premise.

Yeah, I am confused by the apparent "Network TV" case every episode formatting as well. Maybe they wanted it on NBC originally.

I was thinking the same thing! I like the setting in the casino and thought that would play into that more. It's taking a little getting used to the episode set up - the set up takes way longer to get in gear, though I do like they replay it with her in the story. She's very good, though. And I really liked the last episode.

Just read an article that stated that except for the 1st season of Rick and Morty, Roiland hasn't done anything except the voices. And he was even recording those at home. Harmon and writers apparently couldn't stand working with him. Harmon, it sounds like, may have actively hated Roiland. Apparently the same is true for Solar Opposites and other shows he's been involved in. Just does voices from home and isn't involved in any creative processes as no one can stand working with him.

Is this the article? It seems extremely convenient for protecting a property that is worth a ton of money.

Looks like the articles I was seeing were referencing that article. Condensed versions if you will. If it's even remotely true that he wasn't involved in the writing for a while I think/am hopeful that Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites can continue on and do just fine.

I somehow missed the Pizza season from Chef's Table on Netflix, but found it and realized there is an episode on Ann Kim the owner of Pizzeria Lola, Young Joni and Hello Pizza. (yes also Sooki & Mimi but I don't believe they serve pizza). Ann representing!

Was a great ep. I still go there at least once a month as it was my neighborhood place. Nothing better than walking there during a blizzard when no one’s driving and you’re done shoveling
