TV 19 - Simpsons Did It

Saw all of Westworld, and they did not finish it so it's a bummer overall for me. For everyone out there who has not seen it. Stream Season 1 and skip the rest. Season 1 is worth it.

This is correct. WW S1 is the greatest season in TV history. S2 is meh. S3 is punishable by death.

This new season of mythic quest is not necessary, but it’s not terrible. Really like the most recent, the flashback to Ian and poppy’s childhood

I would have preferred they left it at the perfect S2 ending. Other than the Christmas episode which was terrible it has been okay so far. But nothing is new. Nobody but the accountants needed it.

I just saw the For All Mankind pilot and, other than the subplots with the wives which are trash, it was quite good.

Slow Horses continues to be terrible but Dr. Mrs. is hoping it will get better than just another moron show with a British accent.

The pilot of Hot Skull was brilliant. That's our new show. I really have hopes it can be something special.

I got to Poppy and Ian's flashback and it was good.

Andor pilot: they just keep rolling it out by the yard. It's like Victorian wallpaper: there's nothing wrong with it but it's just so relentlessly the same.

Started Wednesday last night. Phenomenal. Just love it.

Can confirm. We just started. Actually, we just finished the dance episode. And the whole show is wonderful. I really really enjoy how Thing is played in this show. The personality is great.

The writers also did a good job giving the show just the right amount of edge. Sometimes it's a bit far, but you're enjoying it so much you don't care. Glad they didn't make this a kid's show.

Normally I don't care for Tim Burton or Addams, but this is great.

Three Pines starring Alfred Molina who played Doc Oc in one of the SM sets. Very well done and I recommend. I should seek out the books his character is based upon it's that good.

Ended up rewatching The Leftovers for the first time in years.

Definitely my Westworld- as everyone here can’t stop gushing over season one. Leftovers got better in the second and third season, had the perfect touch of mystery and ended at the right time, along with a phenomenal cast. The series finale is still my all time favorite finale

For the first time since July 13th, 1985 you can watch the complete and iconic Live Aid concert in it's entirety tomorrow on the Live Aid YouTube channel. The concert will begin streaming at noon GMT (7AM ET) and play all day. Some of the musical acts have passed their expiration date but most are still as culturally relevant as they were nearly 40 years ago. The set by Queen remains the single greatest performance in concert history. For a generation who came of age in the shadows of Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, the Challenger disaster, Iran-Contra and on and on, it was one of the few positive events of our formative years. If you are old enough to remember and want to relive part of your childhood, tune in tomorrow. https://youtu.be/q4y2XVTxrxs

I thought there wasn’t footage of the entire concert? Like a bunch of the Philadelphia stuff is missing?

I know "Bohemian Rhapsody" gets all the props, but "Radio Gaga", both overall and the performance at that specific concert, are better.

72,000 people in unison. One of the other performers was watching from backstage, turned to his bandmates and lamented, "Why can't we do that?"

No clue about the Philadelphia stuff. We'll find out tomorrow.

It looks like if there is good footage available from the global feed it will be included, if not it will be skipped. A couple of acts in PA were passed over but others have been restored. Surreal to go from Sade to Ozzy Osbourne. Even more surreal to see Black Sabbath performing at a concert at 10AM...guess Ozzy isn't a vampire after all

For some reason I thought that some of the footage had been destroyed, at the insistence of Geldof, because of promises he had made to artists or the companies that held the rights to their work.
