The Global War on Terror 5.0: Putin on the Risk

It's the conservative position because safeguarding life should be the one essential role of government..

Only up until the point they're out of the womb, equal to about 1% of their life should they live to 70.

I apologize, because while I agree completely, I never would have given you credit for realizing it.

That's a curious observation as it comes from someone that seems completely incapable of thinking outside the box.

And is Fishy really bringing up late term, an act not being lobbied for by any group of significance?

I'm all for life,
'till the bastard's born.
And after that,
he's out on his own.
And if he does crime,
tryin' to survive
I'll make d@mn sure he gets,
ELECTRIFIED!

This thread took the off ramp to nowhere about 3 pages ago.

So - if Scotland goes Yes tonight, does it destabilize Europe?
Slightly, it will give those in places like Basque, Catalonia, and the like something to rally on. Heck , I bet it give the Québécois a reason to pipe up again.

Let's hope the South gets some ideas.

Is that an Ice Station Zebra reference or a Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea reference?
Ernie Borgnine was not in Voyage. The Admiral was Walter Pidgeon, the bad guy was Michael Ansara, and somewhere/how Peter Lorre was involved. Oh, and the girl was eaten by sharks - inside the Seaview!

Besides, Voyage dealt with the Van Allen belt igniting which melted the polar ice. Somehow NYC did not drown.

Yeah, but there's a North Pole scene. It might be where they pick up the fanatic who later causes the explosion. Also, "the girl" is Joan Freaking Fontaine!

I was mixing up the Lorre character with Borgnine. They're both short and squat.

"I heard about you. I heard you were dead."

You provide the live tweets, I'll provide the war.

But Jeez, Pat...

But were the Serbs really "aggressors" in fighting to hold their cradle province of Kosovo, which ethnic Albanians were trying to tear away?

Ethnic cleansing is pretty aggressive.

Sic semp ideology. Deducing practical actions solely from abstract principles invariably leads to reductio ad absurdum.
