Just saw a writeup with a recent picture. His eyes, which always looked so vibrant and crazy just looked tired. Hope his chocolate factory and the umpa-loompas are in good hands.

Alzheimer's. As sad as it is for his family and millions upon millions of fans, it's a much needed release for him.

I agree. Alzheimer's takes its toll on the family. Mr Wilder and everyone else is better off. With that said he is in my top 5 of actors. Loved his work.

I've watched High Anxiety, HOTWI, Silent Movie, Young Frankenstein and Blazing saddles all within the past 6 months I'm sure . My entire family (save my younger sister) went to see High Anxiety on Dec 26th (the day after it was released) at the old Hopkins Theater I couldn't have been older than 9 or 10. I need to watch Silver Streak and WW again. I can do without Stir Crazy and HNE/SNE.
