Yah, 6 hours 44 minutes and 414 miles according to Yahoo. Not sure if it'd be worth flying to Vegas and driving from there. But, I don't see anyone in Grand Canyon getting excited about paying someone from St. George more than someone another state or two away.

Can't say I've seen anything in the papers here in Phoenix about Grand Canyon starting up a football team. But, their basketball team picked up the former interim coach of the U of A Wildcats, so maybe that's got them thinking about football also.

They supposedly did have a football coach in place I believe. Not sure what happen with that. That or I'm just confused with the story on them highering the Wildcats coach perhaps.

The First Regional Rankings poll come out tuesday. This weekend is a put up or shut up weekend for a lot of teams with dreams of going to Florence.

Combined, NMU's opponents are 3 and 15. the one team with a pulse so far by being .500, only did so by barely beating NMU. One of NMU's opponents are guaranteed getting a victory simply because they play each other, which brings the all important SOS number back to being .500. Lets see how NMU does when they're not thumping on the lower end of the GLIAC at the moment.

Naw, I'm not like that. I would much rather watch Billy's face as he realizes that GVSU is that **** good and watch him go thru the grieving process. ;)

Got a season ticket to that game that isn't spoken for yet Billy. Your's if you want it. ;) :D

Exactly. It's nice to see W's a bit more consistently, but I have to keep reminding myself of this.

That being said, I am toying with the notion of visiting my sister in Allendale that weekend just to see if this game could be any good.

I've got a season ticket thats still unspoken for that game yet. Its yours as long as you come up to me before the game and ask me, "Hi! Are you Monster??" ;) :D

True, but that's also the weekend we host Miami in hockey. So, here's my choice: stay and see my team and at least hang in there with a ranked team, or travel 500 miles and see my team put up a decent effort but still get some jail lovin' courtesy of the ranked team. Hmmm.

NMU has to be ranked in this poll and I expect us to be ranked in the top 20 in the national poll!!!

I still think we'll beat GVSU, we are on a mission this year!:D

What a game! NMU drives the ball of 7 1/2 minutes for the last second touchdown victory. Instead of kicking a field goal, The 'Cats go for it numerous times on fourth and inches (the last was 4th and 1 on the 5 yard line with 33 seconds left).

This is Northern's biggest win in years. Now we have to come out next week and keep it rolling.

When was the last time NMU had a ranked Football and Hockey team, providing NMU is ranked in the next USCHO Poll.

This is good news as NMU really only has one semi-tough game left until GVSU. So when they get destroyed by the Lakers, BB will be gone! Hooray!

Calm down there Spanky... You have got to be one of the most Bi-polar Cat fans out there....

Yes, this win is great and this shows that this team is legit, but let's not forget about Wayne State and Hillsdale... This team is new to winning... They will need to learn to deal with expectations....

Don't get so excited. He's like one of the more well known attributes of NMU girls--goes away for a while, but then there's another outbreak.
