Huh. Detroit's 0-2, and Colorado's 2-0. Didn't see that coming.

Oh, and **** Anaheim. :D

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

Back to Edmonton, I see. What happened to Detriot? You were such a big fan last May...

Hmm, was Edmental still playing in May? I sure as balls wasn't going to be a Pittsburgh fan

Ah, what a glorious season its going to be. Good to have Ty Conklin back in net...

Woooooooo!!! Thrashers win 6-3 :) Kovy and Peverley with a pair of goals.

Too bad the Wolves looked flat for the second and third last night. All the depth supplied by Atlanta this year, and the Wolves are turning into the Cubs. Great on paper, sucks on the field.

O'Byrne is out 6 weeks with an ankle injury/possible knee issues. Good times!

Khabibulin obviously wasn't paying attention and looked confuzzled that Moss had gotten there so fast. One panicked mishandling later and the puck is in.

Yannick Weber getting called up apparently and that's with Pyatt already having been brought up in Markov's stead.

Montreal is going to end up making a questionable move here one way or the other. Signing Marc-Andre Bergeron would be fugly.

Adrian Dater in Colorado was saying there was some buzz in the press box that Montreal has interest in John-Michael Liles but says that that is likely not founded in reality.

Cole is out 6 weeks after breaking his leg last night. My fantasy time has now lost Markov and Cole! I guess its only fair that I give Ovah a chance to beat me this week ;)

Actually, Pyatt was hurt in the incident that precipitated the O'Byrne beat down of Kaleta and hasn't been cleared to return. Kyle Chipchura is off the IR and assumed Markov's spot, and will play tomorrow night on the 4th line as Metropolit will not be ready to go. Webber replaces O'Byrne.

So long as nabokov doesn't allow another 5-6 goals in a game I ought to be ok.

I wouldn't hold your breath early this season. I expect roller coasters into December.

Pavs out at least a few weeks, if they're as good as they are with Mitchell, I expect him back early 2012. Good thing 75% of our lineup play center.

To make you feel better, I point out that the Rangers were going to sign Semenov, but apparently he's married to Lauren Pronger, because his wife told him he can't play in New York.

Scrappin' Josh Gratton is waived by the Thrashers. No word when he'll show up to the Wolves once he clears.

Glen Sather, being the upstanding fella he is, when breaking this news to the media made sure to mention that Semenov cried about it. Literally.

Good to see Jacques filling the seats in Jersey.
