Scores and Highlights 09-10

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Kristi Kehoe gets the lone shootout goal, giving NU 2 pts in the standings.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

BC up 2-0 on UNH with about 6 to go in the 3rd. Maine up 1-0 on BU end of first.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Knights have blown two different leads. Harvard now tops 3-2.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

I didn't know exactly what thread to put this in but I didn't want to start a new one.

Anyway, earlier in the season, I proclaimed the Friars the leaders in the nation in ties at 9, but I just noticed we have been passed by BC and BU with 10 and 12 ties, respectively

Before you start dissing Hockey East, over half of those are non-league play!

As Hockey East was the birthplace of the "chippity" movement, perhaps it isn't that surprising.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Chippy was right! Northeastern scored twice today and it was all they needed to beat UConn 2-0 in the final regular season game.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

UNH leads at BC 3-0 with 6:04 left in the first, shots on goal are 11-0....

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

UNH leads 4-0 with 4:25 left in the 2nd
so far: Lavoie w/ 2g, 1a
Paton w/ 1g, 3a
Long w/ 1g, 3a
Dziengelewski w/ 1a

shots 17-7

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

4-1 final, Thunstrum scored with 19 seconds left in the game to break the shutout bid for Minton.

UNH finishes in a 3 way tie for 2nd place and, as far as we know, gets the 2nd seed and a bye in the first round of the Hockey East playoffs... not sure how the other seeds shake out (NU and BU will be hosting BC and UConn in the first round next weekend, I believe?)
