RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

If you look reeeeal closely, you will see that actually finished tied for 4th, not 5th, and because the tie breaker that USCHO uses is alphabetical order, we are listed as 6th, not 5th as produced by the actual tie breaker.

Haha, I didn't see that as well. I stand corrected again.

Yes, because I knew you wouldn't be able to answer, and you didn't. I know your type - all talk and no brain. That's not to say that all Sioux fans are like that, but you're certainly a glaring exception.

WOW! You RPI fans are a tough crowd. Since my straight out apology didnt work, I'll give it one more try, a peace offering.

For any of you that aren't in an area to watch saturday's game on tv, or would also like to watch all the other tournement games and espn3.com is not available in your area, there is a simple way around it. All you need to do is go to http://www.att.net/s/s.dll?spage=host/getatt.htm&ch=mb&source=login . Sign up(free) for an at&t.net email account. Then when you go to espn3 it will ask you to give your internet service provider. Select AT&T and enter your email(the one you just signed up for) username and password, and presto! Full access to all that espn3.com has to offer.

And if my peace offering is already known by you guys or isn't enough, then I have nothing left.

I, for one, forgive you, SIOUXperfan! Excellent tip! I tried it and it worked like a charm. I was starting to get worried that I might be able to watch it. Thanks for the help!

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

I have been seening a lot of talk about where fans are going and how they might watch the game but is it actually being broadcast on TW cable? If so what station? I looked around today but could not find it listed anywhere.
Thanks and best of everything to RPI.

The feed will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports, aka channel 3. 1803 if you have Time Warner Cable HD package.

lets gore d? oh, i get it now, my bad, sorry....

reminds me of the sign I see on I91 between the MassPike exit and Springfield...they advertise massage nt . com .... except they mean mass agent . com

There's a better one on the Westbound side of 91 heading toward the I-84 interchange:
Mohegan Sun: We Have the Loosest Slots in CT!

:p

Thanks for the group/PW burgie

Thanks for the information, SIOUXperfan.

The RPI Office of Alumni Relations sent me an e-mail indicating that the video stream could also be accessed through the following link: http://espn.go.com/espn3/index/_/sport/hockey.

As far as I know, this does not require signing up for any new e-mail accounts.

If your ISP does not offer espn3, that link will do you no good without signing up for an email address that is supported.

Has anyone found out anything about non-timewarnersports syndication such that those of us outside the Capital Region might be able to watch on TV?

Not that I know of. Obviously for those with Time Warner but outside the capital region, the website is still showing high school basketball at that time; we'll see if the decision to change is made across the state.

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

PSU Schedule
Battista said he has already begun negotiations with several teams throughout D-I hockey to fill not only the 14 non-conference games in 2013, but the entire 2012 independent season. Those schools include Connecticut, Holy Cross, Army, Air Force, RIT, Alabama-Huntsville, Princeton and Cornell.
It would be nice to play PSU, even in their first year, but I suspect that they prefer scheduling true D-I schools that have name recognition. That doesn't explain RIT however. UAH is explained by the fact that neither school will league playoffs at the end of the yearto interfere.

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Just heard from someone in the Pep Band. They are on their way, on a bus to Green Bay! at least a 16 hour trip, I'd guess....arriving mid- to late-morning on Friday, probably.

It's a great touch by the school to pay for their trip! I hope that they are part of that extra edge we need to put us over the top.

I always got a kick out of budgeting for the band because we would include line items for trips to the regionals and the Frozen Four that the e-board would rubber stamp figuring we'd never need the money. Turns out they need at least some of it this year. :) Although the word I've heard is if RPI manages to advance to the Frozen Four the band will be responsible for raising at least part of the cost of the trip to Minneapolis.

In the past the Alumni Association has helped on that front but I'm sure if the band were in that position a few days from now there would be plenty of people willing to pitch in and help. It adds a lot to the atmosphere (although last year's Frozen Four was tough as they dumped the bands at ice level behind the end boards due to the wierd configuration at Ford Field).

I'd chip in a few bucks.
