He said we played Niagara 16 times since being D1. I could be wrong with AHA tournament lingo, but getting that ticket to the BCA doesn't mean your considered in the Frozen Four, maybe he was just being cute?

Either way I am just happy getting media attention.

That would be quite an accomplishment since RIT fans only filled half the Ritter last weekend. :rolleyes:

The article says
RIT has won just once in 15 tries against Niagara in the Division I era, but there have been six ties (two this season), six of the last eight meetings have gone into overtime, and last year the Tigers defeated their regional rival 2-1 in the AHA semis.

We have played the 15 times. 1 each season from 05-06 though 09-10 for 5, 3 times in 10-11, 4 in 11-12, and 3 this year.

I wonder if he just meant because four teams play at BCA that those teams would be the "Atlantic Hockey Frozen Four", I didn't like the way that was written.

Steve Pinizzotto in the lineup tonight for the Canucks. Right now has 17 seconds of ice time, 5 penalty minutes (fighting major) :D

It's game day! How's everyone feeling? I'm excited;looking forward to the game. I think the Tigers have a chance at taking this series especially if they can pull out a win tonight. Chuback's been off for 2 weeks now, so hopefully he cooled off a little. The Tigers can take advantage of that by striking quickly in the 1st and hanging onto the lead. I think tonight's game is critical. A win tonight puts all the pressure on Niagara. I like RIT's chances if they get a win tonight. If we want to win we have to beat Niagara sometime, it might as well be now! Go Tigers!

Box score question - why was Giancarlo Iuorio's minor penalty in the second period for goaltender interference 'served by Ryan Murphy'. Is this just an error in the box score?

The only thing I can think of is that he needed medical treatment. He had his helmet off on the bench from what the radio guys said.

Overall, a close game but it seems, at least this season that the team likes to give up goals shortly after scoring one.

Spot on comment...

I think RIT played a great game last night but it is hard not to notice what you've just written if you've followed this team throughout the season. Unless your opponent is completely out of the game you have to figure at the drop of the puck at center ice after you've just scored your opponent is going to come at you with a renewed urgency to answer your goal. This would mean that you need to match their intensity by picking up your game as well. Perhaps during the off season it would be a good statistic to dig into...the average time elapsed off the clock when your opponent scores after you have scored. This year, it seems, as blaze mentioned, RIT has given up goals shortly after scoring one.

Nonetheless, RIT played a great game last night and if they match that intensity tonight and then some, Niagara will have a hard time dispatching RIT in two games. BTW, props for Canisius last night, they matched the intensity of Air Force. That would be a huge upset if Canisius can take that series from Air Force.

There was quiiiite a lot. Had a full corner crew and we were a LOUD presence in Dwyer.

Sounds like less members made it tonight.

Hard to believe the AHA all-rookie team does not have Shuler or Kuquali.

Sure doesn't seem like a #15 Nationally ranked team to me. Even if they make it, they'll get crushed first round.
