>>> RIT Tigers 2011-12 -- Now then, where were we? <<<

Re: >>> RIT Tigers 2011-12 -- Now then, where were we? <<<

The blurb was from an e-mail sent to anyone with an @rit.edu e-mail address. Wasn't published to any general website. It was internal that people on this board shared with the college hockey community.

Sending it to ANYONE with "an @rit.edu e-mail address" is akin to making it public. Just Saying.

I expected this about a week ago; got to admit I was a little bit confused about your lack of participation. Better late than never. It wasn't the smartest move by the original poster now was it. This is a response to 5-4's last post.

People are getting slower CHG. They need someone to remind them how it is done.

This is rich...I missed it first time around. So now we have the President at RIT recruiting by throwing around ficticious dates and innuendo about the D1 move. Well it could be this year...er maybe next year..oh wait maybe the year after...oh OK then we are only applying and it might not happen at all. Classy outfit your running up there in Rachacha...from the President on down.
I don't see anything wrong with the message that went out from RIT. Seems like an honest statement of their ambitions.

Re: >>> RIT Tigers 2011-12 -- Now then, where were we? <<<

I can't find it in writing anywhere, but just saw an RIT administrator post to her Facebook that RIT has officially announced a move to Division 1.

Edit: I am having a hard time finding ANYTHING backing this up, she may have just been talking about what Destler said in his address to the community a few days ago.

Can you post the link?

Geez, who alerted the peanut gallery that there was controversy to be stirred up in an RIT thread? RIT just can't do anything right in some people's eyes, can they?

I certainly hope the back-biting and pointless recrimination is less prominent at the D-I level.

I totally concur. The holier than thou attitude of some of the people who post on here is little nuts. There is this dislike for RIT that I just don't understand. I haven't really noticed this on in the mens' threads except for some pointless arguments with some Wisconsin fans. Hopefully, it will be less when RIT moves up so the precious D3 women's hockey world won't be sullied by having RIT around and they will have less to complain about.

Certainly in one poster's eyes!!

Cali, there are only a handful of people that post on here but well over 300 people that read the post's. This thread has had over 300 views since noon today. Don't underestimate the intellegence of those readers.

All I see is the consistent negativity that comes from you regarding the RIT team. I think that you are reacting to surface information and are not at all aware of what has been going on behind the scenes. As I posted earlier, just because you have not received official confirmation of something occuring it does not meant that it is not occuring.

In regards to the 300 people that read this forum, your advice can be directed right back to you as well.

You haven't been around for very long have you?:D

The Tiger men left D3 in 2004 and even now the fastest way to blow up a thread in the D3 forum is just mention RIT. Heck in the middle of the 2010 frozen four run, someone from Utica College innocently started a thread congratulating the Tigers. It just exploded into a flame fest that lasted for the better part of a month. Of course it attracted enough RIT faithful to help keep it going. Honestly sometime we're our own worst enemies.

I just consider it program envy.;);)

So...you've already sipped the kool-aid. If you're not cheating, you're not winning..eh?

Now then, where were we...
