>>> RIT Tigers 2011-12 -- Now then, where were we? <<<

Re: >>> RIT Tigers 2011-12 -- Now then, where were we? <<<

RIT sports tweeted yesterday that season ticket info will be announced Monday. My RIT Hockey RSS feed picked up this link this morning on Women's season tickets: http://www.ritathletics.com/news/2012/7/25/WHOCKEY_0725121646.aspx, and pointed to this new website: https://rithockey.com/

Women's prices are
Single game:
General Public $5.00
Fac/Staff/Alum $4.00 (2 per valid ID, per game)
External Students $3.00
RIT Students Free (Available week of game only @ Box Office & game nights in Ritter. 1 per valid ID, per game)
Children 5 & Under Free (available @ door only)

Season tickets:
General Public $55.00
Fac/Staff/Alum (1 per valid ID) $44.00
External Students $33.00
With Purchase of Men's Season Tickets $20 (Starting Aug 29 at the GFH Box Office only)

The $20 with purchase of men's is a good deal! Tickets go on sale Monday 8/6 at 10am online, or August 29th at the Box Office.

I noticed via Twitter today that Carley King has left RIT. The post I saw implied she was quite happy about this.

Roster is posted on team website. Only 2 goalies listed. Also Coach DeMichael's name has been removed. Anyone know why?

Probably not happy being a 3rd string goalie?
Probably would be more happy being a starter at a different d3 school.

Benedictine University (King being a Blackhawks fan, I assume that's the one she meant by "Benedictine") is a D-III school but has no varsity ice hockey team (obviously).

It's too bad; she always had one of the biggest smiles in the team photos and seemed happy to be playing hockey.

Based on this tweet from mid-August:
Carley King ‏@king_carley
having a great time playing @puckcancer , contrary to popular belief I actually can start and finish a full hockey game #whoknew

It certainly sounds as though she has/had a chip on her shoulder about her playing time.

Nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn't become a distraction for the rest of the team. Personally I like players who are upset that they aren't getting enough playing time. It doesn't matter if they are on the first line or the third string goalie. I like that kind of drive in a player.

Except that in this case that player decided to give up hockey and transfer schools.

Looks like Hannah Epstein is off the roster too. Has anyone heard about this?
