it's funny that I get attacked for saying the same thing! When I say two weeks ago that a win over Elmira isn't all that special and get attacked for it. Then they lose to Utica(?) and everyone says....well they weren't that good anyway. Oh you easterners and your fickleness.

It's not fickleness, it's context. Beating Elmira was special for other reasons.

So I think that a Pool C getting the bye is beyond stupid. NC$$ just said you don't have to win your conference or be the top 2 teams in the country to get a bye into the Frozen Four.

If RIT wins this weekend I'm 98% sure that they will host the tournament.

I'm as shocked as you are but thats the way the chips fell and the committee followed the NCAA's guidelines to a T. It's unfortunate but it's the NCAA's sand box and we just are lucky to have a corner of it.

And yes, I would agree with your 98% sure RIT hosts if they win against Adrian.

Why?

HC, there have been no new discussions as of late on the D1 move, although it seems to be coming based on some small things that have been happening around the school with regards to coaches and payroll, not just with hockey but with all of the sports. I believe it's coming, but I don't think we're going to hear anything until at April or May.

If there's anything going on behind-the-scenes, it's not the sort of thing anyone could talk about anyway. Until the moratorium expires in August, there's no official action RIT can take, so there'll be no news.

Q: When is the women's team going Division I?

A: The NCAA currently has a moratorium on adding teams to the DI level. As soon as the moratorium is lifted, we will look for the appropriate conference for the women's team.

Don't take this personally, but I think it is tough for us Easterners to accept criticism of an Eastern team from a Westerner. As soon as you guys start winning some FF games, this will change.

So if Adrian beats RIT??? haha I don't forsee it happening...but have a strong desire for it to happen

And it just goes to show that I'm smarter than you guys give me credit for. You eastern folks might be better at D3 women's hockey, but smarter people come from the midwest!

thank goodness those Midwestern players are smarter as well. Where would the NESCAC teams be without all those girls from Minny, Wisco and Ill?
