Re: >>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

So, did Utica do us a favor by upsetting Elmira -- or did Plattsburgh get the better end of the deal? Platty now gets to face Neumann instead of Elmira in the semis, and while we get Utica instead of Neumann, it's now more likely we'll face Platty in the final.

I didn't feel like Elmira was as good as everyone said they were this year.

Just the way it should be. The best teams in the conference facing off against eaach other for the auto-bid to the NCAAs. That will be a good game regardless of the outcome. But the women have to get through Utica and Platty has to through Neumann before we can talk about that final.

I don't think anyone ever said Elmira was awesome this year. It was pretty well known this was kind of a rebuilding year for the Soaring Eagles given the loss of a HUGE senior class from last season and a lot of offensive production.

Bottom line, win two this weekend and RIT does not have to leave Rochester. Rochester can be a busy place to be in mid-March.

Not necessarily.

If River Falls loses, it would not shock me one bit to have River Falls get a Pool C bid making it a 4-3 split and send the tournament West with RF being the host.

I still don't like the idea that RF could actually benefit more from losing than winning...

Re: >>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

So wait, we might get screwed out of a bye because UWRF lost? How is that fair?

That was *****in AWESOME!

Great two days of hockey. All of the teams played great games, and props to Neumann for playing Platty as hard as they did last night, I think it helped us today.

So...what now?

Congrats on your first ECAC West title. My guess is RIT will end up hosting the Final Four. Not sure how it is giong to work with UWRF losing.

Re: >>>>RIT Tigers 2010-2011<<<<

Congrats to the women and on to the NCAAs. It be nice to see another one of those championship banners in the Ritter.
