Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Back to the desk. I think I'll need to go off "Do Not Disturb" today, and deal with the people that want me to do work that isn't in my workplan. Because apparently some people think it is too complicated to transfer numbers from a datasheet to a spreadsheet themselves.

Morning Lodge. Commute was much better than I feared, but looks like I caught the office head cold.

Good morning Lodge.

Breakfast has been served. Scrambled eggs with ham, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. English muffin toast, fruit, juice and coffee as well.

Temperature might get up to 36 degrees today...........

High says 41 today. Excited to get back to practice today. Sleep schedule has been off..only got about four hours last night.

1 hour off of "Do Not Disturb" and on "Available" on our work instant messenger, and I haven't been harrassed yet. My time is short, I fear.

You keep complaining about this. Maybe now that you have adult-like responsibilities, you should get onto an adult-like sleep schedule. :p

It's one thing if you're just a typical college student and can sleep in and skip morning class Thursday if you go out drinking on Wednesday. It's another if you have coaching duties or work duties that you have to get up for.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

On the way into work today there was a traffic jam in Farmington along Pilot Knob Rd. I can't tell you the last time there was a jam in Farmington. At any rate, the road was pretty well glazed, and that looked to have caused the accident which led to the pile up. I don't know how many cars were involved because I got there when only a single truck was left. An ambulance went cruising pass that scene while I was in traffic, which had me thinking it was a common thing today. This all led to me missing the final bus of the day, so I had to drive into Minneapolis today. Ugh. I also passed by a Chevy Trailblazer flipped over on its roof on 35W, right around the Diamond Lake Rd exit.

It's been so cold for so long that people haven't had to deal with the melt/re-freeze at all this winter, they're not used to the ice-glazed roads. This is going to be a major inconvenience.

What this boils down to is, people are idiots.

edit: this was supposed to be quoting St. Clown's last post

Morning, Lodge.

When does water start pouring through your living room ceiling? At 4pm on Friday at the start of a 3 day weekend, of course! No plumbers available for 72+ hourse! Awesome. They're here now, cutting through the drywall. Good times.

Ouch. Were you able to tread water long enough to keep your head above the water?
