I'd almost be interested but, I've got something in the works that I need to let play out. Besides, I'm guessing BPH needs the job more than I do at this point.

Give it a try. You never know. I will put in a very good word for both you or BPH. Contact me and I can tell you who to send the resume to. :)

Good Morning, Lodge!

Good Morning Lodge

So LWB, how come you're not touting Brent for that shipping/warehouse manager job? ;)

I just looked at the bantam playoff schedule and we will NOT have to sell our tickets for either Gophs-Stinkin' BADgers games in March after all. I was worried they would conflict, but the kids games will be early enough on Saturday so we can make the college games. :)

It's BROADWAY. It's not some random place. It's like not knowing about Mickey's Diner, or Paul Bunyan!

There's some talk about a certain peacock network doing a dodgeball halftime bit... we'll see how that progresses.

Guilty of 1 back in college, but defunct. Guilty of 2, but again don't use it any more (might start again the way Facebook is getting all MySpace-y, though.) Follow 3 (have seen that game singlehandedly fail people out of Tech.) Guilty of 4.

My rules:
1) No WoW or any other MMORPG
2) Don't bother with Twitter (under review)
3) No talking about work on Facebook
4) No spamming people's Facebook walls with the fact that I had a ham sandwich for lunch, or those meme-y "I believe in Jesus/America/puppies/babies/Tim Tebow/Obama/the troops/cancer patients/John Cena" pictures
5) No visiting That Website Which Must Not Be Named (hint: Quattro Jackie)
6) Firefox, ZoneAlarm, Avast!, AdBlock, NoScript, and Hosts file update before I touch the Internet on a new computer, without fail

What about AVG and Spybot S&D? ;)

Hyperbole much?

One's nearly impossible to miss if you're in downtown St. Paul, and the other is a mythic figure and a giant ****ing statue.

Need I remind you that when I looked up the locations, you didn't even know there was one right smack in the middle of downtown Minneapolis? That illustrates just how easily overlooked it is.

There are TWO right in downtown Mpls. both easy walking distance from my office.

I should start pulling my stuff together for my taxes, not going to like it.

Genealogy is fun. One finds all kinds in one's tree. An apparent seventh cousin once removed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_Yronwode. Then again, her daughter Althaea Yronwode, who would be an eighth cousin, is a surgeon.

It is fun. My uncle was able to find a number of distant cousins (I think anywhere from 3rd-6th) in North Carolina who had changed their last name around World War I. At that time, it "wasn't cool" to have a German last name in the USA (no chance at a thrown-in umlaut BTW), so many of my ancestors had taken a different last name for that time. Those distant cousins just happened to not change back.

Used to use AVG, but then it turned into crap. Avast! is everything it was and better.
I can agree with the AVG turned to crap. I think it's dragging my laptop down... you recommend Avast! as a replacement for it? Does the same real time (half-assed) monitoring and full disk scans that AVG offered?

And I had to switch to Safari for a bit on my laptop. Firefox was a resource hog (I think there's either a memory leak with Explorer or something physically wrong with the RAM)... and Safari acted a bit better. *edit* And it's not an NMU IBM... but a similar IBM model t43. Got it second hand from one of my last employers when they were pitching a bunch of "crap" computers.
